Moncrief Heating & Air Conditioning

Because of a slow leak in the A/C system, and because it was also over 14 years old, we asked Moncrief to replace it. The team that did the work was fantastic. Courteous, professional, efficient, and thorough with everything. Kudos to all!!!

Extremely disappointed! I chose Moncrief as they are based in my neighborhood and I see the trucks often. I called for service after my system went down and they did not have much availability to fit me in. I agreed to the service date hoping they would get my heat back up and running. The service technician was great, isolated the problem and did his best to find the part needing replacement on a Sunday. I paid the service fee and he told me I would get a call the following day to schedule the installation of the part. I received no call back and had to follow-up myself on the status. I was told a parts department would call me back shortly, but never got a call back. I followed up again the next day (day 5 of no heat), and I was told "we are awaiting authorization to order your part", as if I was the hold up to this process. I was also told the repair would cost $450 in addition to the $200 I had already spent. The technician who serviced the job led me to believe this repair was nominal and would be no big deal, a small common part to replace that should take 15 minutes. Frustrated and just wanting the heat back up, I agreed to the ridiculous estimate. The customer service representative was not helpful in scheduling a time to install and would not provide any estimate of when the repair could take place. I have found a Company to come complete the simple repair that Moncrief was incapable of handling. Very disappointed, as I wanted to partner with a neighbor for future maintenance and servicing.

Moncrief provided one of the best service experiences I’ve had since owning my home. My service tech, Lionel, took time to explain the entire process; from diagnostics to billing. He was very professional and remained respectful of my home and my time. Office answered when I called, and sent notifications on when to expect service techs to arrive. Fixed me up and got the a/c blowing great. I highly recommend!

Their hourly rate is $272.00/hr!!!! I have never heard of any service charging that amount!!!!! On top of that, they charge $199.00 just to show up before any work is done. So, yes if you need them to come to your home for 1 hour, be prepared to be handed a bill for $471.00 (plus any parts). Just an fyi...I reside in NY and our HVAC company which is very reputable charges $140/hr. Almost half.

Our HVAC stopped working. I called today for an appointment, and they came out today to repair the system. Technician was professional and very knowledgeable. He repaired my system quickly without any issues. I highly recommend them. My service technician was Jonathan, and he did a great job!!

Tony was thorough and went the extra mile by moving things around to get to the units. We only caught him at the end and felt badly we hadn’t moved the things in the closet so it was a clear path for him.
The communication on arrival time was helpful.

All work was completed in a expert and timely manner. Very satisfied with the HVAC system.
