K&C installed two Trane HVAC systems in my house. Install was smooth and took a full day. Very professional and clean install. Subsequently the thermostat wasn’t working, so they came out and installed a new one, but it turned out that it wasn’t the thermostat, it was a clog in the drip line that was tripping the thermostat. So they came again and unclogged drip line. All professionally handled. Just a small hiccup on the diagnosis at the beginning. K&C service dept did what they said they’d do and did it within a reasonable amount of time.

Krause & Crane, Stuart were great from the beginning. I have used Krause & Crane Air Conditioning for 3 years and have a yearly contract. My first contact was for them to do a system check. They actually answer questions in person, or by phone and they return calls Cameron, and other office staff are great on the phone and take care getting appointments ASAP. The technical staff did an outstanding job, quality, and their punctuality was just awesome. They cleaned up any debris. They didn’t replace any parts that were unnecessary and consulted with me before hand. Krause & Crane is definitely a quality company and I would highly recommend. No problems with their work. Ginny at K&C actually offered to call the warranty company and worked out the details. Chase, the service tech, quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, provided valuable advice, and gave us a quote on a new system—all this within a few hour timespan. Excellent company!

Krauss & Crane were sloppy and lack accountability leaving our home permanently damaged. On multiple occasions we asked to speak with the owner Tim, who has never returned our call. We used this company due to a referral and unfortunately see the damage every day at our front door and regret that we ever let them near our home.

Photos speak a 1000 words. Krauss & Crane came to install our new Trane AC on September 9th and left our house with permanent property damage including damage to the hardwood floor entryway and a notch of wood taken out of the trim on the closet door for the air handler. In addition, the Krauss & Crane installers left a trail of dirt and grease all over the stairs inside the house to boot.

The damage to our bleached oak floors was avoidable and due to the failure of Krauss & Crane not putting down drop cloths over the full floor area during installation, and the damage to the trim of the closet was caused by sloppy installation of the new air handler. This was in addition to dirt and grease left all over the stairs inside our home.

After complaining of the damage directly to Krauss & Crane, they sent out one of their technicians who put wax over the scrapes and made the damage even more apparent. Then we were contacted by Debbie who said they were sending a floor specialist. What we learned the hard way was the flooring specialist was an all around handyman who clearly did not have any expertise in dealing with bleached floors. After his repair included staining the floor the wrong color which put a dark strip through our bright bleached oak floors, he put the wrong finish on top. It looked as if there was a puddle on the floor as he put a glossy finish when the whole room is a satin finish. What type of flooring specialist puts the wrong stain and then puts the wrong finish. Debbie literally yelled at us on the phone when we let her know the person she sent out was not a flooring specialist. She was adamant that he was a flooring specialist. Take a look at the photo (Picture #1) and judge for yourself, because this is what Krauss & Crane thinks is the work of a flooring specialist. Who yells at customers for damage caused by their installation experts and then further damaged by their own repair folks?

We ended up having to contract out for a flooring specialist ourselves. The first step was to try patchwork to see how it would look to be cost effective. Unfortunately given the damage/incorrect chemicals Krauss & Crane used, it did not turn out well with very mismatched coloring (Picture #2..and you can see the stain still peaking through). However, once we paid our bill, Krauss & Crane were all of a sudden unresponsive and the owner has been on ‘vacation’ when we asked to speak to Tim. Krauss & Crane paid $800 to cover the cost of the patchwork based on initial estimates. The total cost for the patchwork ended up being $600. The $200 extra amount does nothing to make the floor match and we need to now assess more expensive alternatives as this remains an eye sore at our front entranceway and does nothing for all of the time and energy spent on dealing with this huge headache. Krauss & Crane left us with this damage and have no accountability to fix it. We are reminded of this each and every day we enter our home, don't let this same nightmare happen to you!

My A/C wasn’t responding , so I called Krauss & Crane and they were at my house within 30 minutes. Their tech was very nice, and found my Freon leak in minutes. He serviced the unit, and was super easy and polite to work with. I also have two large dogs and he was great with them! There’s a reason Krauss & Crane has been in business for 3 generations- they treat you like family.

And we've used them again... in 2022 - EXCELLENT AS USUAL! They performed a regular maintenance - they are on time, they worked to get this done when we were away - scheduling with our home "watcher"... and are always there to pick up the phone or a FAST return call when needed. THEY ARE THE BEST!!

2019 - EVERYONE at this company is amazing! Bryan came out on an emergency call - he was terrific! Ginny in the office is fantastic! Dan was one of the two installers we had at our home today - PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, KNOWLEDGEABLE, PUNCTUAL
Install and CLEAN UP - PERFECTION!! Everyone had answers to every question we had! If there were 10 stars, that's what my rating would have been!
