Krauss & Crane Air Conditioning

The installation was last Sept (delayed 4 mo due to shipping) and this was the first maintenance. Went with the XV20 series. So far, about a 20% reduction in electricity usage. Mike was great in first service.

I will say from being a business owner and caring for my customers to the highest level. Matt really gives Krauss and crane a great name he was very professional and not only found the main problem stayed until he found other issues. I thanked him for his hard work and he stated I represent Krauss and crane so I will always do my best. To me an employee like that who really cares about his job and his employer really says a lot and his hard to come by Good job Matt.

Utterly incompetent at BEST!!

Our air conditioner broke down on the hottest long weekend of the year. We had no choice but to have Kraus and Crane come out and were forced to pay $190 just for the service call. The “technician” determined the fan was bad and produced a used one from his truck at a cost of $400!

Later that day, the unit broke down again! The owner of K&C came out along with the same “technician". However the owner did not even bother looking at the faulty unit. The “technician” determined the fan he had just installed was bad and we were going to have to pay even more money for a new one which would take several days to order.

We had had enough. We could not afford to wait several days and we found a local distributor who had the part new and on hand. Why did K&C have to order it when it was available right here locally?

When we brought the old fan into the store and spoke to an actual professional we learned the worst of it: the part wasn’t faulty. It had been installed UPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!! The new one only cost us $165 which we, along with an amateur AC technician installed correctly. The unit now runs perfectly!

All through the nightmare with K&C they had been trying to sell us a whole new system for almost $6000. So it begs the question, was it intentional the part was installed incorrectly?

This was not the first time the company had shown itself to be utterly incompetent. On one occasion the technician came 30 minutes late for a regular service appointment, gave no apology and dragged dirt all through our house.

Lastly:
- mail correspondence was sent to the wrong address.
- our new and legitimate AC servicing company found issues relating to efficiency that should have been obvious, but K&C never picked up on it.
- since our horrendous experience with K&C we have learned from other customers they have also had problems with them.

Utterly incompetent at best. Larcenist at worst. They will try to scam you, stay away!!!

In May 2020 I had Krauss & Crane install two new 3ton A/C systems. They did the work completely in 6 hours even though one unit was in the attic. The work was professionally done and was the lowest quote. I had the same work done at a house in New Jersey just this week. The job is lasting three days and probably more since they ordered the wrong parts. While I was satisfied in May with the job done by Krauss & Crane, I didn't fully appreciate how efficient and professional they were- till now...

These people are awesome.

Parents were long time customers of K & C. We moved here in 2013 K&C has been our AC service since, Replaced our old system with new Trane 2017 excellent workmanship and service!

They fit us in within 2 days and technician was very thorough and friendly. Reasonably priced too especially for their annual contract.

I have had their by annual contract since I put a new AC unit 5 yrs ago. Also bcz I hv this contract they have taken care of my unit on weekends if it fails such as icing up and I get a discount. I highly recommend them.

Krauss & Crane installed a new A/C unit in our home. From customer service, to promptness, to knowledge and efficiency, the company was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend this company to anyone needing air conditioning needs-they’re great!
