BEWARE!!! As a previous customer that had bought a new AC system, I thought I should go back to Powell when the AC wasn't working. Susan helped confirm that my unit was under warranty. I felt confident that I made the correct decision. Was I ever wrong! I am a very unhappy customer. The tech said that all the coolant had leaked out and that my warrantied part was only about $15. The coolant price was $125 per lb and he said I needed 12 lbs. He also tried to convince me that my entire system needed to be replaced. The prices were insane. He also said how he wasn't sure that he could find all the problems. I ended up going with another local company that was 1/4 of the price and said my system was great except for the part that needed to be replaced. Since I was so dissatisfied with the service that I received from Powell, I called to speak with the General Manager, Andrew. I explained the situation and how I felt that I was taken advantage of. Andrew said he would not do anything for me and that I am lucky I was not charged more. Seriously?!? This is how you treat a past customer? I strongly encourage anyone considering hiring Powell to rethink their choice. There are much better and significantly cheaper AC companies in the St. Augustine area.

Justin and Tony showed up on time and were very professional and polite. They went out of there way to make everything look nice(including Justin adding a piece of drywall )
They worked well together and cleaned up as they worked. AC had completely died and they fielded my questions and didn't mind me watching as they worked. Very pleased with their work ethic and job performed.

Great company to work with. They did a great high quality job and they gave me a reasonable price for a Daikin unit with a really good warranty. Good to know they only install quality equipment as well.

Donald, the service tech did a great job fixing our ac unit, his knowledge of systems was impressive. I would recommend this company and Donald for any HVAC needs. Also whoever took my call did a great job getting him here in less than 30 minutes! Well done all!

Frankly, I can’t recommend Powell for maintenance contracts.
They installed the systems in my home some years ago, so when I bought the home last year, I contracted a service/maintenance contract with them. A tech came out in July 2021 and said both systems were in “good” condition. One failed in January 2022 and after another diagnostic fee, I was told it had to be replaced. OK, I get it, it happens.
Another tech came for scheduled maintenance in April 2022 and said the other system could not be serviced as the pressure was too low. However, he did not record the readings on the invoice so I could send it to my home warranty company. If I wanted that, it would be another service charge. Hmmm.
Recently, I changed one of the filters and noticed it was wet. When I opened the air handler, I noticed about ½ inch of rust flakes in the pan, thus blocking the drain. Seems this is something very basic that a tech would notice.

Justin and Tony of Powell. Heating/Ac arrived right on time and set to work immediately. They had to replace an old, non-functioning AC system, inside and out; and all through this hours-long process--in the heat and humidity, no less--they were courteous, took care to be neat and orderly, adjusted the vents in every room, and even removed some trash not related to the job. I don't see how they could have done a better job or been more determined to make sure everything was working perfectly before they left. They provided excellent service and answered every one of our questions.

Powell replaced my heat pump and air handler unit and installed a new thermostat which required running a new 10 wire cable through my crowded attic. The team of Justin, Jake and Tony were exceptional They showed up on time, answered all my questions, did a first rate installation and left a very clean work site. Now I am sitting in comfort tonight thanks to their efforts.
