Service Star Air Conditioning and Heating

A technician came out and told me we needed a new AC. I agreed and told him the most I can spend is X amount. They agreed to install the new AC for that price.

AFTER installing the AC, they told me I needed a new breaker. At first one of the technicians had me and a picture of the current breakers to him because he was going to go pick up a new one and install it. However, I never heard back from him. I contacted him a week later only to be told they aren't electricians and can't swap the breaker, but that I needed to hire an electrician myself.

While I understand they aren't licensed to do the work, they can easily pay someone who is to come out, but they refuse. They also refuse to reimburse me for the extra cost to do so.

They are extremely disappointing and unhelpful after completing the installation. Please be aware, they will not tell you that there is more work that needs to be done until after the install is done at which point you don't have many choices left.

I am a first time home owner and I was dreading updating my ac, especially in the middle of july. However I've never been so impressed with a service. The owner came the day I after I called, helped me get financing at a reasonable rate and had very professional and skilled workers install my system. It took about 5 or 6 hours, and they explained everything to me that I needed to know as a homeowner. On top of everything the price was extremely reasonable for the unit I needed, I truly expected to pay quite a bit more based on average pricing. I would recommend them to anyone, they are honest and very good at their job.

I had a 10 year old system that I needed to replace. I went with this company and I couldn’t be any happier! Service star is very personable and family oriented! Thank you for taking care of this single mom and her daughter! I will make sure to refer this company to all of my friends and family!

We had our AC shutdown this Saturday and made a call to Service Star to see if someone might be able to take a look on short notice. Within about 2 hours, Mike showed up and did some thorough diagnostics. Our system was well over 10 years old and the prior owner didn’t seem to take great care of it. In short, he could get it running but it would likely need further significant repair, only to need to be replaced real soon. We opted to replace the system as the coils were in terrible shape and the unit was on its last legs. He got us running to make sure it made it through the night and next day (thanks and our kids thank you!), and he got us on schedule today (Sunday) to have the entire system replaced. And, with all of that, it was highly reasonable. Moreover, he did not even charge us for the Saturday call and service (he was here for quite a bit). The guys showed up as promised early Sunday morning and did a superb job. We couldn’t be any happier. And, of course, Mike called this evening to follow up and make sure all went well and we were happy. In short, this AC company is fanastic, reasonable (more than reasonable actually), and just simply honest. Thank you very much!!

July 4th weekend both our upstairs and downstairs ac units finally bit the dust. After making an appointment with Service Star for that afternoon, Louis, the owner, called to let me know his technicians would not be able to be there on time so he decided to cover the appointment himself - he left a family function in Cocoa Beach to drive to Windermere to make sure we had air as soon as possible! The next day Matt and Billy arrived on time and did a great job installing our two new units and our home was nice and cool by 2 pm. Thank you so much! Fast, courteous and affordable!

I use them for my annual service and they do a great job, but I also asked about a repair on a brand that they didn’t stock parts for. they gave me great advice on how to get the job done at lowest cost to me. They also went out of their way to put me in touch with other reputable local companies who could help me. Nothing in it for them at all, and they could have done the job instead, I think it speak volumes about their integrity and honesty. Definitely recommend

Service Star Air Conditioning and Heating is unequivocally by far one of the best businesses that I have had the pleasure to work with in a long time. I was especially impressed by Louis R and his Service Star Technicians Tim and Coby. Louis is the epitome of a true professional who is not only personable, but is a Master of his trade, to include but not limited to, being extremely customer service oriented. He quickly diagnosed and provided reasonable and cost effective options to replace an aged AC unit beyond repair. He quickly scheduled an installation appointment for the next day, negotiated a credit from my home warranty infamous for not providing the service they advertise to their policy holders, saving me money and giving me a very good deal. Tim and Coby arrived on time and were extremely professional. The removal and installation of the old and new units in such a short period is a true testament of the highest standards of Service Star AC and Heating Inc. Their work is immaculate and they maintained a clean and safe workplace at all times. Service Star AC Conditioning and Heating are my new AC service providers from here on out. I highly recommend them to all my friends and family. I wish that all businesses had the same attitude and work ethic in taking care of their customers. Keep up the good work and thank you!!

I originally called Service Star to do a maintenance of my A/C unit and upon arrival Louis found some problems that could cause a breakdown in a few months (the Lennox unit was 7 years old). He worked with me and gave me a great deal on a new Rheem unit. His guys came out the very next morning and installed everything in a few hours. Everyone that I interacted with from the company was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I am so happy that they were able to replace my unit before a full breakdown in the hot summer months! Would highly recommend Service Star.

You can imagine my panic when my air conditioning broke on a hot Florida day. Upon contacting Service Star, they had someone out to my home within an hour. Everything is working amazing now and it was very affordable prices.

Turns out we needed a new AC and heating system. They also checked our insulation that was not even close to what it should have been. In less than 2 hours, yes... 2 HOURS... they were blowing insulation in the attic and installing a new unit!!! It was done THE SAME DAY!!! Everyone was super nice and informative and professional and willing to go the extra mile. Couldn’t be happier! Highly recommended!!
