    Less than 2 years ago we replaced all 3 AC units for my home totaling over $17,000 with Service Star Air Conditioning and Heating. Since then I have had to call Service Star out no less than 8 times. That's more than in the 15 years we owned this house prior to replacing all 3 units I could right a book with the excuses and stories I have heard from technicians, and salesman, and supervisors. I have caught them telling bold faced lies on at least 4 occasions. The culture of dishonesty in this company is disgusting, however there are some employees that are good people. I guess $17,000 was not enough revenue, the estimates from the recommended repairs would have exceeded another $6500. Not one of which was needed. Two of the three units stopped blowing cold air AGAIN this weekend and my wife called them out again, she thought it may have been covered by warranty. The technician at my house yesterday informed us we needed a complete freon recharge ($1350) on one unit and he recommended replacing the compressor ($2000) on the other. This is bout the time I joined the conversation. Why in the world should we have to replace a compressor on a unit that is less than 2 years old? I asked. I truly did not listen the line of bull that was streaming from his mouth because as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow morning every word emanating from his mouth was a bold-faced lie. Fast Forward to today, the complete recharge that was going to cost us $1350 was miraculously remedied with less than 2lbs of Freon and less than $100. I can understand good companies at times make bad hires. This company has a culture of dishonesty. Unfortunately, I found them thru Home Adviser and they seem less interested in warning the public…But I am not on a mission. My goal is to inform the public to stay far away from them.

    This 5 stars is for Louis. Louis is very professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed my problem quickly and had us back up and running in no time. It was a pleasure to have worked with him.

    Mike with Service Star is awesome. He conducted our annual service quickly, professionally, and was very honest and professional with a prior service call when a snake fried itself in our outside unit and he got us back up and running again in no time. So glad I got the flyer that was sent to our new house in a town where we knew no service companies. I highly recommend Service Star for your HVAC needs. Very reasonable with their pricing also!

    Service Star Air Conditioning came to my rescue when my AC went down endangering my temperature sensitive dart frogs. They were at my house less than two hours after I first messaged them and were able to fix my problem on the first try.

    I messaged them again after I had my water drain get clogged (because painters left the AC running while scraping a popcorn ceiling) and rather than booking a service call, they immediately gave me a number I could call so Donnie could talk me through my problem.

    They absolutely could have charged me for a service call, but instead they saved me the cost by clearly talking me through what to do in the space of about 5 minutes. I’m very impressed with their promptness, clarity of explanation, and their integrity, and they will absolutely be my first call for all of my AC needs going forward. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

    Recently My husband and I purchased a new A/C from Service Star and I am so happy we did. We had a maintenance issue come up after normal business hours at 9:30. I called the 24 hour help line and spoke with Donny. He walked me through how to solve the problem I was experiencing. I needed to flush out a line that was clogged which had nothing to do with the new A/C but the problem was on our end.

    When I told Donny I didn't think I could flush the line because it was too dark outside and the A/C was in the bushes, he said he'd be over in 20 minutes to help. Sure enough he came over and got everything squared away.

    I'm blown away by their customer service and their wonderful, friendly employees. I'm so thankful we ended up buying our A/C from Service Star.

    Service Star cares about their customers even after the sale is over. Also maintaining a great relationship with their customers is of the utmost importance to them. I highly recommend them if you're shopping for a new A/C.

    Do yourself a favor and go with a different company. The install was supposed to take 5 hours. It took three days; and even then the unit they installed was broken. It never worked right from day one. Service star didn't care about that though, they had their money. I couldn't get them to even reply to my inquiries. Finally, I had to dispute the charges with my credit card to even get them to reply to me. My salesman, Louis Ratti, told me to deal directly with the installer. Very unprofessional, but hey, he had his commission so he didn't care either. Finally, Service Star sent someone out to look at the defective unit and again lied and said there was nothing wrong with it. I had to deal with Rheem corporate, which is absurd. After sending videos of the defective unit, they agreed that it needed to be replaced. Wow, even Rheem acknowledged the unit was broken. Maybe the Service Star installers dropping it from knee height down on a concrete slab when they put it in had something to do with it. Well, now that even Rheem agreed it was busted, you'd think Service Star would come and put the new one in for free to rectify the problem... Nope. Another $250 to put a working unit in. This company should be ashamed of themselves, and nobody I know or can possibly influence will ever give them a dime going forward. Oh and one last thing, I paid for a uv light to go inside the unit. The initial installers said that they put it in. They lied. They did not. Had I not asked to see it, I would have never known it wasn't there. That is theft.

    Highly recommended!!! I cannot say enough about the professionalism and genuine care and concern Service Star offers its customers. Their honesty and knowledge is exceptional and they are not only thorough and prompt, but they take the time to explain and educate. Thank you!

    I called Service Star because I just bought my condo and wanted the air conditioner serviced, it didn't seem to be working well. Louis R came out he immediately told me it wasn't strong enough to handle my condo, he had me come outside only to find wires were bad, and the air conditioner had been pieced together. Louis was very understanding helping me to purchase my new unit. He had a service man at my house on Sunday. My house is cool thanks to Louis and his staff. I'm very pleased and will refure him to anyone I know

    5+ STAR SERVICE!!! Our A/C went out at 10pm and I made one phone call to Service Star they diagnosed the issue over the phone and told me what I needed to do in order to have our unit run efficiently overnight. Our coil was leaking and unit was frozen. Since our unit was 10 years old we opted to replace the entire unit including exterior and interior with new WiFi digital thermostat. They walked us through the most energy efficient option for our home. They came out early today and installed the new unit! Talk about SERVICE! WOW! The unit was installed in under 4 hours and my house began cooling instantly. WHAT a difference this unit makes and we are super impressed with how quite it is. We are THRILLED! THANK YOU SERVICE STAR!

    Both ac units in our house broke at the same time! One had a clogged line, the other a failed capacitor. Donnie was at the house in less than an hour and both fixed in 30 minutes on. Friday night no less! He was my hero!
