Scott’s is a no brainer decision when it comes to having a reliable and flexible HVAC company. I called and requested a quote. They scheduled me fairly quickly and even worked around my late arrival from work (after 6pm). I met with a gentleman by the name of Daniel. He checked the unit and made some recommendations to gauge my interest. After checking everything out, Daniel sat with me in my blistering hot house (88 degrees that day) for close to an hour making sure he explained every feature and cost option. He provided me with an option in my budget and 2 upgraded models for a better and best option. I loved the better option so much so he did his best to meet me closer to my budget. I ended up opting for the better option and he set me up with a financing plan that I was able to get approval for in seconds. It took 2 days to assemble the equipment and start the install. In the meantime, while I was waiting for the install, Scott’s provided an AC unit to set up in a room of the house to at least have 1 cold room. At the install, the techs were very friendly, personable and down to earth. They ran me through every feature of my unit while there so I had no questions. Also, Scott’s informed me on any rebates and even assisted me in filling out the paperwork for said rebates. If you can find better service, take it. If you can’t find better service, call Scott’s.

Dan was extremely professional when he arrived at the house. He was very knowledgeable not only about the product, but about air quality in and out of the home. He explained everything in detail and was able to answer all questions. Jose and Brad arrived on time and started working right away. They were professional and hardworking. Our new ac system is working great and they house feels better

First and foremost – hands-down, I will not use another Heating & Air Company in Florida other than Scott's Heating & Air Conditioning. How can I describe “the absolute best” or “more than expected” or even the “highest level of customer service given”? Well hopefully I can come close through this review for this 5 Star Heating & Air Contractor.
Closed on a new house back in March 2020, that had two old units, both were over 16 years. At first, it was difficult finding who to trust and I did not get many recommendations. Scott was one of them. It was his friendly, non-salesy demeanor that I first noticed. No pressure, “here to help” attitude. He was the only contractor that walked through my entire house with me. He was also the only one that, with confidence, said “I can fix it” giving me another option to buying. He asked about my work and understood that making the units part of a smart home was important to me. I was so impressed with how I could build this to being exactly what I wanted that I added Air Scrubbers on both upstairs and downstairs units due to the COVID-19 crisis. Also, he wasn’t the cheapest – but was about what I was expecting….
But I ended up getting more than I expected! His entire crew were professionals, all in uniforms, pleasant and clean. It amazed me that they got it all done in one day! Two whole package units! When I met them at the house at the end of the day, they walked me through both outside units and both inside units, through both smart thermostats and answered all my questions, patiently, not rushed. To my surprise, they added something to both closet units so I could buy standard size filters! Once they were gone – if I didn’t tell… you wouldn’t know that contractors were here all day. They cleaned up after themselves and other than brand new units you would not know that everything was replaced, including cleaning the duct work! I was wowed! It really did not look like there were contractors working in my house all day. Since then, Patrick my Tech, has come back to make sure we’re all good – and the office called to check on my new systems! I would highly recommend Scott’s Heating and Air to family and friends, and I’m on their maintenance program – because I won’t be needing anyone else.

The install team was late both times they came out to my house and I only confirmed they were on the way after I called the home office. (Updates on arrival would be nice especially if the originally scheduled time frame time will be missed. Also, a confirmation call about the appointment a day or two ahead of time would be nice). I can't fault the install team for the faulty thermostat I got, but I was upset that they had the wrong invoice and therefore had to come out a second time to finish installing what I had originally ordered. Further, the crew only seemed to clean up the weird paint/putty they used after I pointed out that they got it on my base boards, water heater, the power cord to my solar heater, and the sides of the new unit (I found it on my door knobs after they let too). I'm also not sure why they painted the bottom 4 inches of the change over box for the solar water heater (maybe because it was on the same platform the blower was on?). I thought they were going to remove the old pad from the heat pump but that was left behind and the pad for the new heat pump is not only not flush to the ground but has gaps along most of the edges that I can fit my hand under and use to jiggle the pad. When I asked about that they said they had to level the pad and that was the best they could do. I'm not convinced that is the right way to do it, but I don't care enough to spend the $120 to get a service call and have it checked at a time when I won't need to take time off work. The last issue with the install is that the installers seemed to be very chatty (not sure if it was because they were finishing up and only 1 person could work at a time or what). This seemed to increase the install time and they didn't leave until around 7 pm which forced me to put off the rest of my errands. As far as the home office goes, I think better communication between the day and evening operators would be nice because the evening operator originally tried to charge me a service fee when I called to schedule the 2nd install appointment. Once I explained the situation she immediately said it would be no charge, but I thought notes in my file would have explained this. Scott is really nice and responsive (but as the owner, I kind of expect it). Still, it is good to see a business owner setting a positive example. The technician, (Daniel, I believe) that came out to swap the thermostat the morning after the install was also very polite and friendly, answering all my questions. I also appreciated the call letting me know he was on his way to my house. I appreciated, getting called back at 11 pm after I left a message with the answering service about the A/C only heating my house. I liked that the install team showed me how to put in the new air filter, left me a standard filter, explained how to maintain the drain line, and made sure I knew not to use 2 filters (either 1 on the unit or one on the air return grill). Overall, the experience was a mixed bag, I will probably continue using your service, but I would not want the same group of installers again.
Update: The county inspector did not approve the work they did replacing my air conditioning. It has been almost 2 weeks since then and I've received an email asking me to take an additional day off work (making this the 4 day I will need to take, not counting the day I will need for the inspector to come back. This install was supposed to be 2 days, 1 for the install and 1 for the inspector). I responded to that email the next day and have yet to receive a response. I thought the first mistakes were an unfortunate event, but now it appears this is a habit.

Very unfortunate that I’m a world where time is of essence, this company makes you waste it. Made an appointment for a new A/C unit estimate.
The appointment was for 10/21/2020 between 8-10 am. Waited on a call. Called back after 8am. Now they finally answer. Phone assistant tells me that the lady that wrote the info down, did not wrote it down correctly. But they had my phone and name on file.
Maybe a courtesy phone call? I wasted two hours of my day waiting on your company. Very unprofessional. And not happy with this. I will have to utilize someone else that FOLLOWS through correct procedures to ensure customer retain ability. And future business referral. Next time Scott’s.

No one wants to have to replace their AC but if you have to, go with Scott's!! From the sales consult with Dan, to the conversations had with Michelle in the office, to the final install with Elias, Justin and Keenan, it was all top notch. Extremely professional, very knowledgeable and very personable. You have VERY happy customer!!

This was the most thoughtful thank you we've ever received from a company after making a large purchase. Nice touch. By the way, our new system is awesome. Our house cools much faster with the new system and we love the new WiFi Thermostat.

Scott’s installed a new HVAC system replacing our 11 yr old system and yet again, their service exceeded our expectations. The installers were professional, efficient and nice. I highly recommend Scott’s whether you are in the market for the routine maintenance service or to purchase a new AC system. Excellent...
Excellent service thus far. This was our first time using Scott's Heating & Air. Everything met or exceeded our expectations from setting the appointment to the service technician. Our service tech was extremely thorough and he made detailed notes concerning our scheduled maintenance. I'm so glad we found Scott's Heating & AC. The previous reviews are correct. Excellent in every way.

When the AC in my former house caught fire at 2:00 AM, I called Scott on the recommendation of a friend. Scott was on site at 9:00 AM the next morning, fixing my AC (built a board from scratch!). Later, when I moved into another residence, they held my very old unit together and kept it operating until I decided to go ahead and replace it. Scott offered several new systems, but told me I really didn't need the higher priced unit for my needs. The installation was very well done by a great installation team. When they finished, my garage was spotless. I had a couple of other bids, and I saved A LOT of money going with Scott, and got a superior product.

Eli and David were my installers. I couldn't have ask for a more professional team. Polite, courteous, answered all question, explained everything, even swept my garage and driveway. If you didn't see the new equipment you would never know anyone was here, it was cleaner when they left than when they got here. Daniel the salesman explained the different options and differences in the equipment and did not push one over the other. Very relaxing and informative. Victoria made the appointment and called as a follow up to make sure everything was still on. She also filed my rebate for me with Duke Energy. Scott's is a one stop shop for you Heating and Air Conditioning needs. Highly recommended.
