My AC went out on a Thursday night about 8pm. I called Alumni air and they were there by 9pm I couldn’t believe it. The best part about it was there was no funny business. They fixed what was wrong, charged me only for what was wrong and they were gone just as quick as they had arrived. I never leave reviews good or bad but I’m grateful for this company so I decided I had to. Thank you again!

Alumni AC is a true Blessing! Got 4 quotes and they were the most reasonable and in my opinion the most professional. Hugh Smith identified the need of the service right from the jump. Diagnosed the job and gave me a competitive quote. Work was started when promised and was very professional. Installed a new coil and condenser while bringing everything to code. Cleaned up the area and left the place cooler than ice.

Thanks Alumni AC for making my life so much easier and better. Stay hungry as mentioned to me and you'll continue to impress! Go Bulls!

Alumni A/C came to my rescue. I had ac problems with a 6 yrs old a/c unit and I was constantly getting the run around with another A/C company. I noticed the a/c was not cooling at all. They were just doing a service call recharging the system and charging me and not actually fixing the problem. I called Alumni A/C and Mr. Smith identified the problem right away. Not only the unit was bad it also had leaks. Miner leaks are easily over looked and are the worst leaks he said. It cause the a/c unit to freeze up and work harder. Its a possibility it shorten the life span of the a/c unit. No telling how long the leaks was there he said. Mr. Smith installed a new a/c unit in timely manor and fixed all the leaks. I would definitely recommend him to anyone for a/c work. Thank you Alumni A/C for your honesty and professional a/c work.

NIGHTMARE: Our AC system kicked the bucket Sunday night, leaving us scrambling to get AC in our home asap. Alumni Air was the most expensive quote at $5,800, but they could install the following day, which is why we chose them. No one ever came to our home, looked at our old unit, looked at our ducts, or anything.
We endured a 10 hour install on Tuesday to finally have AC at 6pm and our home was cooled beautifully… for 21 hours. Around 3pm on Wednesday the thermostat went up to 81 and would not go down with air continuing to blast. We reached out to Alumni and were told that it was the hottest part of the day and to let the unit run until the house cool. The air continued to run and yet the temperature continued to climb to 86. We reached out to Alumni again and were told Hugh was on vacation and would come out the next day when he returned.
Thursday came and we received a call from Alumni stating that Hugh got his vacation day mixed up and that he would not be coming but instead the installer would come. Then we received a call from the installer stating that he was booked for a job the entire day and that he could not come out until the following morning. Another day of AC running, another day of 86 degree temps in the house.
The installer came Friday to confirm the unit was working just fine. He took pictures of the duct work but said he wasn’t the duct guy so he couldn’t diagnose a problem, let alone fix a problem. We reached out to Alumni again to tell about the unbearable temperature in the house and we were told that from the pictures, the ducts looked so bad that they needed to be replaced before our home could be cooled. We took issue with this because the old system cooled the house just fine with those ducts, and so did the new unit for the first 21 hours. He said that 3:00 was the hottest part of the day that’s why the AC system was working so hard, but the old system kept the house cool all day and a brand-new unit should be able to cool a house below 86 degrees or at least have the temperature decrease instead of increase. He said the only reason the AC worked the first day was because it was night time and cooler so it was able to catch up, but every night since the house has not gotten cooler that 81 degrees with nonstop running. He agreed to come out the following morning with his duct guy and assured us that he would get the AC working and our home cool.
After 51 hours of the AC running straight and the third day in a row sitting in an 86-degree house we texted the owner again letting him know so he finally came out to the house Friday evening. HE WASN NOT WEARING A MASK. For the first time someone from Alumni walked through our whole attic and he found a large hole in the main duct. He INSISTED that my boyfriend come into the attic to see (not safe) which resulted in my boyfriends feet going through the ceiling of my garage leaving 2 large holes. Hugh found this COMICAL and gave us the number for someone who could come fix it for an additional $200!
We were told the new system was so strong that it blew an existing small hole in the duct into a huge hole and that THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTING HE COULD DO TO TEMPORARILY FIX TO PROBLEM UNLESS WER PAID HIM $3,200 FOR NEW DUCT WORK. His solution was to but window units from Home Depot then return them when we were ready for him to install the ducts.
He left with his $5,500 in his pocket and returned to his 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 3,041 square foot air-conditioned home, leaving and our family in 86-degree heat for another night along with two large holes in our garage ceiling. He also took our like-new year-old thermostat with him and has yet to return it.
You can look forward to lots of LIES, EXCUSES, SMOOTH TALKING, AND EMPTY PROMISES, as you can see from his reply. Hugh is living comfy in his 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 3,000 square foot house while we continue to endure 86 degree day. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Hugh and his crew did a great job installing our new system. He answered every question I had and I never felt like he was just trying to sell me anything I didn't need. He got us out of a jam when our house we just bought was trying to cook us alive in August! I recommend Alumni to anyone looking for good honest AC work. Go Bulls!

Had Hugh come today to repair my ac unit . Unfortunately it was not repairable so he and his employee Austin replaced my downstairs unit. Not only was the job very professional in all aspects, the ac is working better than anytime since we have lived in our home. It’s going to be nice to have to curl up under a blanket tonight . Thank you for a job well done and for a very reasonable price. And all done in just one day .Bravo thank you !!!!!

I called Alumni AC for a second opinion after receiving an initial quote from another company. The first company wanted to charge me an astronomical amount and said the work would take four hours! After Hugh came over and inspected my AC himself, I received an estimate from him at a much lower rate. Also, after finding out that my AC was cooling at all, he made every effort to get the issue resolved right away. The four hour job for the other company took less than an hour. Alumni AC will be my first call from now on.

The short story is Alumni AC installed a replacement AC unit within one day.
The long story is that my situation was challenging and the weather was brutally hot. The best part about this job is Hugh Smith. He was honest, professional and on budget. The financing he offered is the best.
Hugh is a superstar me and my elderly dogs thank you.

Alumni A/C did a great job on installing A/C system. They are very honest, dependable, work is efficient, and price is affordable. Free quote on A/C installation. The service calls are amazing. I would definitely refer them to any other company or friends that need A/C work done.

    Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!
please do your own research first before calling this company.

This guy came and told me the Ac needed 3 lbs of freon but he didn't mention anything about a leak. Replace a $15 compasitor charged me $210 plus 3lbs of Freon total came up to $491. My Ac unit didn't need freon unless there a leak, and the compactor only cost 12 dollars, You scamed us man, you got us for now but karma will catch up to you soon. I'll let karma handle this one.
