I was on a service contract with a large regional AC and HVAC company. My AC died on a Saturday so I called immediately after sabbath. The first AC company came out and found that the motor and fan on the outside 4ton unit was broken and needed to be replaced. Since the unit was purchased by the prior owner they said I would have to pay full price for replacement. They charged $145 for the visit and the technician quoted a fee of $1,220. The same large regional AC company said they would not be able to arrive until Thursday 9/9. Five day Iater. On 9/8 the original ac company reduced the estimated fee to $440. Meanwhile I found a small company that prides itself on professionalism. They offered to arrange to obtain the missing parts but first they wished to examine the equipment. They found that the problem was a capacitor which took 15 minutes to replace. There was no need for a new motor or a new set of fan blades. They also advised on easy maintenance methods so that the AC wouldn’t shut down every 6 weeks. I’ve switched to Friendly AC. Savings 1200!!!!

Over the years they have always been fast to respond & answer questions...and even today when my unit stopped working after a power outage, they were available to walk me through the steps I needed to correct the issue & save me time and money!

On Sunday our AC stopped working, I called them on Sunday night and they responded back that they will be at our house on Monday morning. They showed up as they said, fixed the problem and at a decent price. We will set up regular maintenance visits with them twice per year, so that we don't get into the situation again to neglect cleaning and maintenance. It will be worth it. And they are truly friendly.
