AVOID THS COMPANY! I have yet to ever write a negative review but I feel like I need to help others avoid this company.
Thumbtack has cost posted at $65. All I was requesting was to have my new washer and dryer stacked and provided the kit. The technician shows up and charged $185. I shared on thumbtack I would only be able to help minimally - which means I can’t be expected to be the other technician.
The technician drops the dryer and causes damage to it and then isn’t even able to stack them so leaves. I ask how it will be repaired when I call back and they tell me “it’s not our responsibility you dropped the dryer.” After struggling to get a time for them to come back and fix this issue I just asked for a refund. What a bummer
The price is right! They came and assessed my old dryer for a BnB I manage on the last job. I used them before to help fix a dishwasher too! They are my go to in Northern Colorado for appliance repair. Totally worth it and super professional!
Quick to answer and reasonable prices for service. They got just as annoyed as I did when they ordered a part for my fridge and what was sent and recommend for my model was not what was actually installed. They also have extra services to keep eyes on big things like AC and such. Highly recommend!
We are so happy with Horizon. Both Tom and Robert were delightful! Our fridge had some extra challenges and they came out as soon as they had availability to make sure everything was running smoothly. Really appreciate their attention to customer service! Will definitely use in the future.
Our refrigerator was not working properly on our Whirlpool. Our ice machine was no longer working and the temperature started to go down as well. They diagnosed that we needed a new control board. After replacing it nothing had changed and we still had the same issue. I had called and they scheduled me the next day to come back. This continued to go on for multiple weeks where they would come back, fix another thing and we still had the same issue. As frustrating as it was Horizon Appliance continued to work with us and come back until the issue was resolved. And they did that free of charge since they couldn't fix it the first couple of times. They got to a point where they had to reach out to Whirlpool to diagnose the issue. We are glad that they stuck with us and didn't blow us off and tell us to get a new fridge. We appreciate them coming out and working with us. The one thing I would have liked is if we had work on a Saturday we wouldn't hear back until Monday and I usually had to call on Monday because I had no update of what was happening next.
Horrible experience. They charged us $2,900 for parts to fix our Viking Range a year ago. The parts were on back order for months and months. We then asked them to order from another vendor which they said they did. After another 2 months, still no parts so we asked for a refund. Despite over 20 calls to the company and owner, they have not refunded our money despite telling us they would. I filed a complaint with the BBB. My suggestion - don't pay them until the work is done and you are satisfied.
The owner's follow-up is completely untrue. We asked for a refund, they agreed, they said they had processed the refund through Square. They claim the money was taken out of their account but we never received. After 10 more calls Travis said he would put a check in the mail to us, which we never received. This is theft. I strongly suggest not working with this company, they are completely dishonest.
Great family-owned business with solid technology to back up their operations (text and email reminders, follow-ups with pictures and explanations). Was having issues with my dryer and stove top heating elements, and Travis came out and gave a quote - based on the value of their maintenance packages, I signed up for one. Tom came out to my place twice, once for the dryer and once for the stove. Both were fixed extremely quickly and professionally. Was very pleased with the level of service and transparency.
Robert was very friendly and knowledgeable about our dryer and appliances. Although the dryer is not able to be repaired he quickly diagnosed the problem and offered solutions and options for us. Robert went above and beyond in answering questions and I highly recommend his services.
Great customer service, the service tech came out on a Saturday to troubleshoot my refrigerator , even though his schedule was already full. As soon as the part needed to fix my refrigerator was received, Tom was at my house the next day to repair my refrigerator. Horizon appliance & HVAC is now my “Go To” for appliance repair.
Absolutely horrible experience. They came to fix our ice maker and spent 10 minutes here and then told us they had to order the part and then come back out (this is understandable.) But we then had to pay for everything up front. I should have trusted my gut because I never do this for other fixes but they had pretty good reviews. They then had to reschedule FOUR times because of various issues with their technicians and the weather. After the last time I just told them I wanted a refund and we could go our separate ways. It took following up with two different people several times over the course of a few weeks to get a refund. They claimed they accidentally gave the refund to the wrong person. Oh, and we didn’t get the entire refund. We still got charged $100 for the “trip fee” for them to be here 10 minutes.
