Had the parents AC break down on the first hot day of the year. Spoke to John and he said he could accommodate last minute and come by as his last appointment. He let us know that would be late in the evening since he was jammed with appointments. We were just happy he was going to visit at all.

John expertly looked at all of the AC components and was able to fix the problem within an hour or so. He was very professional and great to work with. He exudes a high-level expertise and was educating me along the way.

I highly recommend John for your family and friend’s AC maintenance need’s especially in a pinch.

This comes a bit late, so my apologies but I gotta say. During one of the coldest damn days of the year, and with my almost 1.5 year old son, our heater went out at the end of January. Called around to multiple, seriously I damn near called every HVAC place in the south bay and no one could come for potentially 2 weeks!. That’s when by some luck, John at Silicon Valley Comfort called me back, I had hit his voicemail, let me know he had an opening and would be there to help out. Over the next few hours he went through our system very thoroughly, did a small upgrade to our unit, and we were back in business! I will not claim to know anything about HVAC systems, I know enough to explain details, but this guy knows his stuff, I could tell, and will happily recommend him over and over again! Never thought I would be in a spot to need help like this, but damn glad to have met John and work with his business! Also, very reasonably priced for the quality work we received.

When our heater went out we called several companies that said they were open 24 hours but John was the only person to actually answer the phone. He kindly spent over an hour on the phone with us attempting to troubleshoot the issue. The very next day he came by to check out our furnace. He was incredibly knowledgeable and was genuinely concerned about making sure we got our heater up and running quickly. Since we decided to replace our entire unit versus repair it, John went out of his way to set up a new circuit board temporarily so that we had heat while we waited for our new equipment to get installed. He replaced our furnace and air conditioning unit and was very meticulous about making sure it was done right. It's clear that he takes pride in his work and cares a lot about his customers.

We had issues with the furnace making noise in middle of the night that sounded like an overheat computer fan of some sort. I was unsure what the noise was and contacted a few companies for a estimate. I found that the prices to be fair and reasonable with this business and the owner was rather knowledgeable in his field. The motor has since been replaced, and the house is warm for the holidays now, thanks again for fixing our furnace!

John and his team did great work setting up my AC and I recommend them highly. They were professional, hardworking and highly skilled.

Our AC quit running on day one of an intense heat wave, and SVC was willing to fit us in on their very busy day and evening and, as it turned out, night. They immediately diagnosed the problem, and John was efficient and professional and knowledgeable and had us cooled down again in 30 minutes. They are certainly willing to go "above and beyond," and I would definitely recommend this company.

Our furnace suddenly stopped working only a few days into the cold season. Since our home is over 50 years old and the furnace looks just as old so we decided to replace it straight away without bother with repairing it. John came out to give us an estimate. Because we also plan to install AC and either clean the existing ductwork underneath the house or installing new ductwork in the attic, there are a lot to think about…. John was thorough in explaining the various options available to us and patiently answered our questions.

Best of all, before leaving John wanted to look at the furnace problem. I was reluctant because it was going to be replaced soon anyway but John insisted on giving us heat and doing it free of charge. And amazingly in just about 5 minutes John located and fixed the problem and got our old furnace running again. Highly recommended.

First let me say that I called Silicon Valley Comfort because I had a previous excellent experience with them when my AC was broken. From that time on, I knew I would be calling them for all of my HVAC issues. This time I thought I had a problem with my furnace as I was having a burning smell in my kitchen when it was blowing heat. John took apart the furnace but could not find anything wrong and he said it was in good working order and surprisingly clean. To make a long story short, it turns out that I had a stinky plant in my kitchen and when the heat was blowing it made it worse. He could have told me that the furnace needed servicing or parts and I would not have known differently. But he and Nina(who actually figured out the problem!) are honest. I don’t even bother to call any other HVAC company anymore. Silicon Valley Comfort is honest, reliable and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

John & Nina provided excellent service and were the only HVAC company out of the 8 I called in the San Jose area that were able to come same day to fix my AC unit after hours on a hot weekend. Most companies probably would have just swapped the capacitor and left. They were professional and went above and beyond the traditional AC repair.
