I've used Desert Air for a couple of years now and recently scheduled an appointment for a bi-annual standard service as part of my annual service subscription. I had to schedule an appointment 3 weeks from the day I called to schedule and when my appointment day came, the service tech failed to show up. I called the office and asked where the tech was and they said that since I didn't answer a phone call to confirm the appointment (they didn't tell me I had to do that when I scheduled the appointment and I work and am not always able to answer a personal phone call) that my appointment was cancelled. I thought that when a company makes an appointment, they show up?? I expect those with whom I do business to show up when I've made an appointment with them. I arrange my life to accommodate and then they don't hold up their end of the bargain. During my conversation with the office they said I'd have to wait another 3 weeks for an appointment. No thanks, I'll be using another service.
Victor resolved my issue with my Thermostat not coming on, he was Amazing to troubleshoot and identify the problem. He was very polite, kind, professional. I would like to commend Victor on a job well done! His work was superb. I would like to highly recommend Desert Air Condition, the employees I spoke to from the beginning to the end were professional, and they gained my confidence in doing business.
The company throw some numbers for the repair costs. I had an issue with my AC on Saturday. I called this company and the technician get there after couple hours and found out the circuit board is bad. They charged me $118 for just diagnose to see what the problem is, but this is very surprising that this is not included in the repairs costs. So the technician told me they have to order the circuit board on Monday which may cost about $400. On Monday they called that we have the board but it costs $700. I am also a technician and I know how much would this cost, but seems like they want to charge more because they know it's hot and you need it. After talking over the phone they lowered it to $660. The total repair cost including diagnostic $788. I had the same issue with my other unit AC, same board with labor cost another company charged me total $400. To look for an issue it's for their technician. Why would I pay for it? If after diagnostic I say no I don't want repair, that makes sense to charge for diagnostic. But if I asked them to repair this shouldn't be separate from their repair costs. I never seen something like this working with different companies.
We've had a maintenance contract with Desert Air Conditioning for years, but when one of our 3 units recently died (of old age), we wanted to do due diligence and get bids from 4 or 5 reputable A/C companies in our area. After receiving the bids, we realized that Desert Air's quote was essentially equal to the other lowest bid for the high quality system we wanted to buy, and since we know that this company is reliable and responsive whenever problems occur, we decided to buy from Desert Air. They were good enough to offer to deliver a portable A/C unit to keep the one affected bedroom cool until they could do the install, which we thoroughly appreciated. They arrived at our house when they said they would, did a thorough job with the install, cleaned up and left us with a wonderfully quiet and cool system. We were very pleased with their professionalism and quality.
I'm very happy that I picked Desert Air Conditioning for replacing my outdated air conditioning / forced air unit. After getting quotes from other companies along with Desert Air, I picked them based on their being Lennox authorized dealer, long history in the Palm Springs area, great reviews and price. The customer service from my rep Steve was great and he helped me pick the right system for my home. The new system is saving a lot of money on cooling my home and I'm thrilled with it. I would highly recommend Desert Air Conditioning. 5 Stars.
I am a new customer. They immediately restored my cool environment. They diagnosed a leak and was able to find and repair. I am on maintenance with them now. Great company. Well organized. Good customer service.
I have used Desert Air Conditioning for over 25 years. They service my two furnace and air conditioning units. I even had them replace them both when it was necessary. At that time I was replacing my roof, and the roofer commented on the high quality of the sheet metal work that Desert Air did on the units. They are always on time, the techs are very know their work. They are very clean, never leave a mess, and I would recommend them to everyone for their quality of work and great customer service.
I have used Desert Air Conditioning as my HVAC company for a number of years. They installed my last new unit and I am on an annual maintenance agreement to have both units cleaned and checked twice a year. The technicians are always friendly and will answer any questions or handle a extra little task. The few times I have had emergency outages I have received prompt service. The scheduling is good and you get a call when they are on their way. I highly recommend.
Desert Air installed our new furnace and A/C and we are very pleased. It was a difficult installation I thought but they breezed through it efficiently and very professionally. We are saving so much in our electric bill! The routine changing of the filters and checking the operation is done by very knowledgeable and professional people. a few years later they installed an a/c unit for our garage and again the installation was great!
I had Desert Air fix my air conditioner when it stopped cooling. It was a seamless process: making the appointment, communicating with the service person while the work was being done, and final billing. I especially appreciated that they accommodated my service needs in a gated community (Palm Springs) with access challenges. I'd recommend them to other customers without reservation.
