I highly recommend this company. My air conditioner quit working late one afternoon and I called 4 “top rated” companies listed on Google. After explaining what happened prior to my air conditioning not working, first company did not bother to schedule an appointment but rather emailed a 7,000 estimate for a unit too big for my space that required replacing gas furnace also to electric. Second company scheduled appointment for following day then “had no record of service call” -no show. Third company, with highest service fee, called but could not send a quote for new system because of Covid and would only text general information. Finally Desert Air Conditioning arrived AHEAD of service appointment time, Barry asked two or three questions, opened unit, diagnosed problem within 5 minutes, had part on truck, installed within minutes and air conditioning works perfectly. Barry was also kind enough to check furnace, and answer many questions about types/brands of units. He contacted Steve who returned call promptly and is coming at no charge to evaluate and educate me about replacing my system. This single older person was treated with respect but most importantly did not try to up sell or take advantage of an uninformed consumer. Do yourself a favor call Desert Air Conditioning FIRST and forget about the “prominent” names listed.

I've been using the services of Desert Air Conditioning since 2003 with complete satisfaction. Their front desk staff is friendly and helpful in getting information about what I need and getting the right service person scheduled. The most recent service call was this past week to look at the furnace at a rental property that wasn't heating correctly. The technician arrived the same day I placed the service call, diagnosed the problem, ordered the needed part and had everything repaired the following day. The technician communicated with me throughout the process, letting me know when he would arrive, what the problem was, when the part could be obtained, and the cost of the repair. I really trust Desert Air Conditioning and know they will do a good a fair job every time.

We have a service contract with Desert Air to provide A/C & evaporator cooler service for our tenant. Whenever I have had to phone the office I am greeted with a friendly & prompt response. They have the ability to access our account immediately & detail what has been done recently. If service is needed, they respond promptly & report back to us with the nature of the problem. If a return visit is necessary it is handled with the same concern. We are pleased with their service & the friendliness of the staff..

Purchased a complete AC - heating system.
Sales person Steve was not pushy. He actually quoted me a less expensive unit to replace my worn out unit.

Had a Thermostat problem that actually my house didn’t have a low voltage wire that was necessary.

I use Desert Air Conditioning for my own home and for rental property. The staff in the office are very nice and answer any questions that come up each season. The technicians are always on time and very thorough in there inspections. They always take the time to explain things in detail and answer all my questions. My home has an older system but the team at Desert Air has really done a great job keeping it in tip top condition over the years. I would recommend Desert Air Conditioning if you want to extend the life of heating and air conditioner.

Desert Air came to my rescue once again. I called at 3PM when my unit stopped working.It was 110 degrees. Even thought they close at 5 they called at five and told me someone was on the way. Ysidro arrived, identified the problem and fixed it. He spent some time showing me what I need to do in the future. This is not the first time that I have called them. They have always been professional, friendly and fairly priced. I would never call anyone else

This year my 20 year old unit finally needed to be replaced. My next door neighbor wanted to do his at the same time. He called all of the best companies in the desert for quotes but I insisted that he call Desert Air. We both ended up going with Desert Air. They did a wonderful job, as always. I could not be happier

I love this company. I have used them since 1998. When I first moved to Palm Springs our a/c went out in May and it was really hot. They could have sold me a new air conditioner and I would not have known any better. As it turned out they charged me $25.00 for a new fuse. Naturally, when I moved to Rancho Mirage I kept them as my service company. I have recommended them to many others. The telephone experience is always polite and competent and their service people are great. Furthermore, most of their service people have been there since I have been using them. Always the mark of a good company.

I own 13 properties in Palm Springs, so I've had plenty of encounters with A/C service companies. The best of these is Desert Air Conditioning. Their technicians are all well-trained and polite. They're not on commission, so they don't try to pad their income by pressuring you to buy things that you don't need.

They arrive on time, and they stay until the job is completely finished.

Best in the valley, My family has used them for years. Provided quick ac repair service, any technician I get is smiling and polite, they always clean up after each other before leaving. Top of the line products for the right price and they don’t over sell you and sag you need a new unit when they can repair your existing unit for a better price. Fair all around.

Recently, I purchased a manufactured home that had a newer a/c unit that was installed by the previous owner. I called the company that installed the unit when I could not get my house cooler than 88*. They told me that since my home was a manufactured home and not suitable for desert heat, there was not much they could do. They claimed their unit was working as specified. I had used Desert Air before and called them for help. As expected, they were timely, professional, covid19 cautious and they did a thorough inspection and recommendation. They informed me that there were all kind of problems with the "new" unit and that it was not even installed correctly or top code. I could pay to fix everything or consider other options. I now have a ductless a/c and heating unit that has made my home very comfortable... especially during the recent 120* days. They cleaned all the old ducts and tubing, now useless, from underneath my home and left everything spotless. Couldn't be happier.
