Hector did a great job with everything! He was on time, removed our old hood/fan and installed the new, and showed us how everything worked. It was a quick and efficient service call!

Chris Vest was our electrician and he was amazing! Super professional. High quality professional uniforms. Excellent customer service. All around friendly person. He hooked up a new switch to our garage for our new electric dryer, and also provided estimates on various home repairs. We will certainly be using this company again and requesting Chris!

I had Ryan, a RR Electric, Heating & Air technician, come out to check my system. There was not a problem. He let me know that he was going to perform a maintenance check on my HVAC system and educated me along the way. Ryan changed the batteries in one of the thermastat units and explained that they are used as a back-up, in case the electricity ceases. He also explained that as electricity needs increase with electric appliances, etc. that electrical surges may possibly happen, and cause detrimental issues with one of my household applicances. I appreciated this information and was pleased overall with Ryan's work. :)

Brendan and Hunter installed 2 wall outlets with usb-c ports as I’ve been upgrading wall plugs in my condo. They were friendly, professional and provided a wonderful experience. I would strongly recommend both of this men.

Jose, Jaime, and Tuom were the technicians that were assigned to install my EV charger and they were amazing! Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly in answering any questions that I had. I will definitely be recommending RR electric to anyone else that needs an EV charger installed.

Brenden and Jose were very professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything and actually made it easy to get the issue fixed. So glad to have found this company.

1. Alanzo and Luis arrived on time and worked diligently until they completed the task: installing a new A/C unit.
2. They were careful to wear booties and generally were very respectful of our property.
3. The old A/C unit did not fit through our outside gate. Normally, it would have required a crane to remove the old unit, costing us several hundreds of dollars. To save us money, they disassembled the old A/C unit so that the pieces each fit through our gate. This was significant unanticipated extra work.
4. They thoroughly tested their work and carefully explained to us how they tested every aspect of the system.
5. They’re great guys - their general attitude: “We will take the time to do what it takes to install this A/C unit right and make you happy.” I couldn’t be more pleased and amazed.

This is the second negative review that I have written. I will discuss two separate instances which happened a few days apart. One service was for electricity. The other was for HVAC.

The electrician took two hours just to review our home and make a series of recommendations for service. No work was done yet. Two hours in we receive multiple quotes for various levels of service with pricing that ranged from high to extremely high. Then he pitched a membership and show savings if you sign up for a plan. I was over two hours in at this point and I had a hard stop that was rapidly approaching with no work being done yet. I decided before I started spending a significant amount of money on one of their plans, that I’d see the quality of their work. I instructed the technician to pick the easiest project (according to him) and install one new power outlet. I asked if the technician could do that in the time remaining and he assured me he could, so he started the work. The technician put a hole in my wall and then said he’d made a mistake and he couldn’t do the work in the spot he picked. I asked him if there was another spot, and he assured me there was a spot slightly to the right of the initial location. He proceeded and again had to stop, stating he made another mistake. At that point I stopped the work and told him to wrap up. I had lost all confidence in his ability and was not sure, at that time, if it was just him or the company I should be concerned about. He attempted to patch the hole in my wall (which now must be painted), wrapped up and left. When he left, he left the power off in one room. I didn’t know that until after he left, and I went to turn on the lights. But he didn’t just turn off the power at the electrical panel. He disconnected the wires at the outside electrical panel, left the cover plate on the ground with the wires exposed, and we had to call the company to come back out so he could fix the mess he made. He was apologetic, but at that point, we had no intention of doing any more work with him. That said, we had already scheduled an HVAC person to come out a couple days later. My wife and I discussed it and decided to keep the HVAC appointment, as everyone has bad days, and who knows, this electrician may just be having one heck of a bad day.

Then the HVAC person came out a few days later. Our AC had been intermittently working and we wanted to have it fixed. The same thing happened with the HVAC technician. Two hours after he showed up, my wife was given a quote for work that ranged from $2,000 to, and I am not kidding, $26,000 to fix the AC. Two hours of waiting to receive quotes which were so ridiculous even the technician did a double take on the numbers. We were told our AC was too small for the property. We were told the electric needed to be rewired. We were told the Freon was too low. We were told our intake vent was too small. We again declined to move forward.

Then we had another company come out, replace the capacitor and charged us $60 for the part and within 30 minutes we had a working AC unit. At that point, I asked about the size of the unit, the electrical wiring, and the Freon. The technician from the new company showed me on the AC panel why it was the right size. Showed me the gauges that illustrated the Freon level was fine. Showed me why, having two intake vents, meant each one should be the size they were. Everything that RR Electric said was wrong was proven to be incorrect, not from the subjective opinion of a competing firm, but from the actual metrics of the manufacturer.

RR Electric's philosophy seems to be around searching for the most amount of nuanced work they can find to associate to your actual need, layout various pricing plans that may or may not actual solve your issue, try to relieve that cost by suggesting a subscription plan, and showing you all the discounts you could receive. The quality was horrible, the knowledge was wrong, and the staff was incompetent or misleading.

DO NOT not use this company. They are grossly overpriced.

Had this company out on 6/20/2023 to check my A/C. Told me my system needed to be replaced and gave me a bid. Let’s start with the thermostat bid. Their member price savings bid was $496.95. The same thermostat at Home depot - $69.98. It takes maybe 15 minutes max to put one of these in (I replaced ours myself). $500 bucks for a thermostat I can get at Home Depot for $70 – absolutely ridiculous.

Next up - their member price quote (member price is supposed to save you money) for a 14seer 4 ton Condenser and coil - $11,971.60. (doesn’t include additional fees of $810.00). Looked online for how much this should cost. Answer – somewhere around $5,000. Now in fairness, this is Thousand Oaks and contractors are higher priced here – however, had a guy out the next day that gave me a quote to do the same job for less than ½ of RR’s quote – but said I should just wait because my A/C was working OK and would still cool the house.

Also – they failed to mentioned that there is a fed tax credit of $600 if I get a Seer2 16 or above.

I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your AC needs.

Owner tries to negate my comments by saying I'm not in their database and then imply I'm a competitor. (In fairness I did list the date originally as 6/21 when it was 6/20) however.......... Richard - how many quotes on a 14seer 4 ton did you give out to a person with the initials BC that week - specifically on 6/20/23? I'm 100% in your database and you should just own up to it. Or...........I can take a picture of your entire bid and put it on google. Your people have called me numerous times to ask if I want to accept your bid. So let's put that one to bed. Next up - Richard talks about not installing things if you are not a professional. Ok - reasonable point. But he is deflecting us from the real issue.
Readers - speaking as someone who worked in finance for 35+ years, I get that businesses need to charge for fixed and variable overhead - and that prices have increased significantly per inflation. However we all have to ask ourselves this question - should I/you be paying/working with a company that charges $500 for a thermostat you can get for $70?

Generator servicing after two years. My electric generator wouldn't start, and Chris knew exactly what to do. Turns out that the batteries on these generators are not rechargeable, He was
professional, courteous, efficient, and gave us a much needed brief refresher lecture on the interface between the electrical panel, generator and household appliances. An all-around nice guy, we hope to get him again when I call R & R for a problem.
