I called because business sticker on my heater. Problem of no heat only cold air. Tech came and said running normal because indicator light read normal. But any one could feel only cold air coming out. He said that's how it works. Takes a while to heat. Within a month I had it with cold house. Bought electric wall heaters. That was 14 yrs ago. Talking with other neighbor recently, found they had same model as I did and their home was warm. Thinking more and more, With electric Bill's going higher and higher, I started reading up on heaters, function, maintenance and repair. I ordered new gaskets first then opened burn chamber and cleaned off burner and checked temp probe and finally checked gas valve. Lo and behold the gas valve was full of gasket material and orifice blocked 75%. Removed orifice Carefully blew air thru gas valve and debris came out. Reassembled and hooked up gas. Used gas detector to check gas line and connections. Turned it on and guess what ? House has heat first time in 14 yrs and I'm talking heat. I didnt want to buy a new heater as I had just bought our house yr. Before and tech saying normal? Anyway I suggest getting 2nd opinion if you've used these guys. I use to recommend summit to new neighbors but not anymore. Thinking times my wife sat there cold and huddled near wall heater because I believed their tech. Frustrating indeed,. I will be posting on Coleman's heater site too. Diagnostics indicator is flawed and a tech leaving a heater blowing cold air ? You decide.
