Honest, reliable and knowledgeable. I have had multiple issues with my air conditioning (replaced), water heater (replaced) and now the valves in the home need to be replaced. I never have to worry because First Choice has always come to the rescue to fix leaks, water heater and AC unit.

My 25 year old AC unit went out in May. I suffered through June and by July had to make that dreaded call due to the heat. I have American Home Shield and thought it would be covered, but when they came out, they said I needed a completely new system, and it wasn't covered. The quote was almost $15K! After the shock that I was going to have install a new AC/Heating system, I called three vendors to get quotes. 1st Choice was recommended to me by a neighbor, but they weren't coming until Monday. On Saturday, I had another company come and decided to go with them and signed all of the paperwork for the new system. I still kept the appt with 1st Choice and after their visit/quote, I decided I would rather go with them. In CA, you have 3 days to cancel a contract, so that's what I did. Because they couldn't get me in until the next week (it was in the middle of a heatwave), they gave me a portable AC unit to use which I thought was incredible customer service. Their price to install a brand new system was the best of everyone I spoke with, I was able to get 18 months free financing and the service they provided was excellent. It was a hard job as the space was so small to work in, but they got it done in one day. They had to cut into the drywall in the ceiling and at no cost to me, had someone come out to repair and repaint. Other vendors said there would be a charge for that if they had to cut. Everyone that was working on the project was professional and courteous. Chris (one of the owners) was out for the last part of the job and reviewed everything with me and made sure I was happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend 1st Choice for their pricing, excellent work and most of all their customer service. I would much rather give my business to a smaller, local company than a big box store. About a month after I had my system installed, I was in line with a woman who randomly told me her AC went out and she was looking for a company to replace hers. I told her to call 1st Choice and about my experience. She said I was the third person to recommend them, and that made her mind up that she would go with 1st Choice! That says a lot about this company. Word of mouth recs are very valuable, especially for the smaller local vendors. Thanks for giving me back a cool house!

James and crew are simply the best. They did a complete system installation in 2018. They were amazing then, and when I called with a problem now they had a technician to me within two days. The problem was repaired within an hour. I can't say enough about 1st Choice Heating & Air Conditioning. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

First Choice installed a new furnace in our house that was built in 1969. They also installed an air conditioner which we’d never had. All new ductwork, re-routed to be more efficient, plus new vents throughout the house. They worked quickly and did a great job. They’ve since come to maintain both units, making sure everything is working correctly. We’re very pleased and very comfortable. I’ve already recommended this company several times.

Very professional, helpful and friendly. Patient with all my questions, explained what they did and what needs to be done.

AC was not working and I chose 1st Choice to come out and investigate base on positive reviews. They diagnosed that there was a coolest leak somewhere and recommended replacement as system was 25 years old. They gave me a quote but there was no pressure from them to proceed. I got a second opinion and quote which was higher for the exact same system, so went with 1st Choice Heating and Air Conditioning. They were able to schedule installation within a week and the crew that came to install were very professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend 1st Choice Heating and Air Conditioning, and will use them again when needed.

7/15/2022: Updating review, after getting four bids ended up going with 1st Choice for our HVAC replacement/installation and couldn't be happier. Alex, Luis, and Ray did fantastic work, took the time to explain the new unit and thermostat when installed, and cleaned everything up when finished. Good value, great customer service and overall couldn't be happier. Have had a couple of questions post-install and James has been very responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Chance was great. Knowledgeable, thorough, and didn’t try to hard sell us into something we didn’t immediately need. He also proceeded price quotes for new units if we choose to purchase at a later time. I would definitely book with again.
