I hardly ever write reviews, but the technician Jared Moore and 1st choice definitely deserve one. We were looking to get our AC unit serviced, and were able to easily schedule online. He showed up on time, and got straight to work. His inspection was clearly very thorough and he went through every bit with us. He spent at least two hours on our inspection, along with educating us on the way the units work and how much quality matters in this industry. The level of care that he put into his work made us feel very confident in choosing 1st Choice for our AC replacement.

My A/C stopped working on Fourth of July. I reached out to this company because they had good reviews. They (Tim) got back to me right away even though it was a holiday. They were able to schedule a tech for the next morning! The tech (Jake) arrived on time and was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. He fixed the problem pretty fast and made some recommendations since my unit is older. I'm very happy to report he did not pressure me or try to oversell me, which is very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company and would hire them again.

I highly recommend 1st Choice Mechanic. They provided a quote the same day I called and started the job the next day. Incredibly affordable and knowledgeable. Very professional installers and they were able to install my entire HVAC system in less than 8 hours! I appreciated their communication as far as scheduling, time frame. They provided photos of your technician so you know who to expect. I have already recommended them to friends.

Air conditioner went out today as it should in the summer…. Smh..Looked up “ac repair in phoenix” on google, called these guys, and within 2.5hrs I was greeted by, who I assume has to be their best tech, Jake. Processional, knowledgeable, listened intentionally, gave me the price immediately, never thought I was being overcharged, fixed my problem in the time he quoted me. I don’t think I’ve ever had a service tech nail their quoted time. Easily choose these guys again. This was my first experience and Jake nailed it. Saved the day. Ty! Also, thank you Tori for being pleasant to speak with and taking care of me immediately. Very refreshing to say the least.

I had a very good experience with 1st Choice Mechanical. Their customer service is excellent. Tori answered all of my concerns, scheduled my installation in a timely manner, and I would give her a 5 star rating. The installation team was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. It appeared that they performed the process with all the care and technical experience that made me feel very comfortable. Special shout-out to Brandon and his entire team. Again a 5 star rating. I will be using 1st Choice in the future with my other properties. Well done, 1st Choice Mechanical.

I asked 1st Choice to send a tech out to one of my rental units as the AC had stopped cooling and I wanted a second opinion/quote. A big name AC company in the valley had checked out the unit the day before and told me I needed a new compressor for $4K or brand new AC. Jared from 1st Choice checked out the unit and it turned out the unit had been overcharged with freon during a "check up" on the unit a week before. Once returned to a normal charge it was working fine. Thanks to Jared and 1st Choice for working hard to find the real problem and correct it!

They don't service units on 2 story roofs apparently, and their ability to diagnose duct problems is very limited. I hired this company to clean my ducts, dryer vent, and to diagnose a leak in my system. At first they forgot to clean the dryer vent and almost left. After they said that was done, I stuck my hand in the outlet and pulled out a giant clump of dryer lint. So they went back to that for 10 minutes. Then when I asked what was up with the leak they said they couldn't determine it because they didn't have attic access. My building does have a shallow attic, but the attic isn't where all of the ducts are. Even if they were able to get into my attic, they don't seem to have the tools to inspect ducts in the walls or sub floors. Finally their "Antibacterial Fogging" as it's listed on my invoice is just a spray of something into the intake of the system. It is not actually a fog that will get into every corner of the system. Basically I paid $350 for them to dust the ducts and dryer vent. If I had not been actively monitoring them they would've forgotten the dryer vent. Their fogging isn't a fog, and they don't inspect anything really. At least they showed up on time.

Dependable, professional, articulate in their service and extremely knowledgeable with my HVAC system. Very patient in explaining the issues and solutions for my system. I knew mine was old, yet they worked diligently to keep it going until it just was not worth the cost to keep repairing. They were more than generous in helping to find the new unit that would fit into my budget, and even had financing options that enabled me to repay over the time frame that I needed. This is what customer service and integrity is all about, going the extra mile to deliver the best product and solution for the individual needs and budget. This is by far a 5 Star HVAC company. I highly endorse 1st Choice Mechanical AC Repair!

Quick and easy scheduling even for same day service. Jared the technician was knowledgeable and able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem, leaving me with a nice cold AC unit for some relief from this AZ heat. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jared the technician or this company to my own clients in the future. Great job brother and thank you again.

The tech was INCREDIBLY helpful and informative!!!! They saved me $1200.00! Not only did he explain what they (as techs) were seeing with the cold temps out here but educated me in such a professional and engaging way! After speaking with him about the unit, it sounds like they get tons of continuous training! We had another company come in before them. Larson (the other company) charged $120 service fee (1st choice was less than half). Then the Larson tech told us we needed to do 1 of 2 unnecessary and very expensive services…
1st Choice didn’t try to push anything unnecessary on me and when he didn’t find anything that needed service, he said so.
I am a female and was home alone. The tech James did an amazing job of making me feel comfortable with him in the house. He waiting to be invited any further into the house and to be shown the unit.
I was floored at how great this service call was. AMAZING WORK!
