Peter’s team from Sean down to guys like Chris have proven to be very “comforting”, just like the AC/Heating systems. They all worked with me to get the system I thought was best for my needs and the recent yearly maintenance follow up was a breeze. I just installed a new mini split AC unit in my shop and I needed to install insulation to finish the job. I contacted multiple installers and received the quickest response and the best pricing from Anthony at State 48 Homes Services. They were able to install within a few days, showed up on time were quick and efficient, and did an excellent clean up. Along with Anthony, his crew Austin and Cesar were all very profesional. The State 48 team were lifesavers when our air conditioning went out the week that it was going to be 100° and we were supposed to be having guests for a party in 5 days! Sean was very responsive; he came out for a consultation that same day and we found him to be very knowledgeable and experienced and he offered an excellent competitive price, as well as a great warranty for a full HVAC system. The install team Stefan & Chris arrived promptly on the am and installed the entire system in 8 hours, explained everything that they had done in great detail. They were very clean and respectful, and even swept up the area & our garage path after they were done. Our air conditioner went out today. It’s the middle of summer, 110 degrees outside, after business hours, and peak season for A/C service repair. We had little hope we would get any sleep tonight. We were crossing our fingers that we could get help by tomorrow, at the earliest. We called Peter Bartos at State 48 Home Services and received unbelievable service! Soon after our call, Sean Meier was at our door. He was friendly, professional, and so capable that he had cool air in our house 90 minutes after our initial call. We had a great experience with State 48 when our 16 year old Trane died 2 weeks ago. After getting 3-4 highly overpriced quotes we found state 48 on Rheems website. They are a Rheem Pro Partner as well as Bosch accredited partner. We originally picked a Rheem. However when we noticed the date on the shipped unit was 2 years old, we decided to go with Bosch. Sean was nice enough to allow us to change the order even though the Rheem was already delivered to the shop. Sean was quite knowledgeable and patiently answered all my queries about air-conditioning in general and specific brands /models to help make the process of choosing as easy as possible. We ultimately went with a Bosch 15 seer IDS 5 ton system. The air handler install was quite tricky due to the access hatch being in a tight pantry area and was much smaller than the air handler. It was like getting a fridge through a doggie door. The install team (Stefan and Gabriel) did a great job taking the old air handler apart in the attic to bring it down, and dismantling the new handler, reassembling it in the attic... As you can see from the photos, it's quite a challenge doing that in a dusty attic, with barely any maneuvering space. New hangers, pan and plenum were put in place and State 48 also provided a drywall repairman to restore the trim that had to be removed to move the new handler parts. They removed the pantry door to keep it from getting damaged and covered the floor and pantry area to keep dust out. Team explained the steps they were taking as the install progressed and vaccumed the area after install. Sean came out next day for post install troubleshooting and inspection. In all it was a long but pleasant experience. Some highlights of the install

1) A very efficient, inverter system (good looking as well, looks like a parked sports car) at a very competitive price. In addition unlike other compressors the motherboard on the Bosch is quite clean, hardly any wires; my old Trane had a clump of wires. Every time a technician came out I would pray they did not accidentally yank one out.

2) All other quotes I got had a 2 year labor warrenty, State48 has 5 years.

3) Included A/C install, old system removal, new Ecobee pro thermostat, 5 year maintenance (1 check up each year), 5 year labor warranty and 10 year parts warranty. We even got ducts cleaned couple days before the installation.

I would not hesitate to use state48 again or recommend them.

Everyone was awesome -- from scheduling over the phone to arriving to repair my AC issue and it's even been a week plus after the repair and everything is still working great. I feel the repair I needed was done properly and I feel confident about the work done. What was nice and very much appreciated was explaining the issue to me, showing a picture (and even a video in my case) of the damage and providing a fair quote for the labor and parts. Thank you!
