Brandon was out to perform our annual water heater check up and flush. He was prompt and professional and provide some great advice on a couple of other plumbing items for our home. We definitely were happy with this service appointment and have been happy with the HVAC work we have had Western States perform in the past.

We used Western States Home Services in August of 2018 to put in a new heat pump. They promised they would be out the Monday of Labor Day weekend. I double checked because it was a holiday, and they confirmed they’d be there early Monday morning. Monday comes, they no- showed. They showed up 1 day later to install the unit and as a courtesy for the no show, they extended our service contract 1 year. Ok, I can accept that.

During the install of the attic unit, they heavily damaged my attic access. They promised they’d arrange for a contractor to come out and fix it. WEEKS went by, no contractor calls. I had to call them and request they set up the contractor they promised to send out. After several weeks, my attic access was fixed.

Fast forward to May 2022. Despite regular maintenance checks through Western States, the compressor goes bad. It’s memorial weekend. We call Western States. They promise that they’ll have someone out Sunday afternoon. Guess who no shows up again when it’s 95 degrees in the house? Yup, these guys. Despite multiple calls to confirm they were still coming out and assurances they’d be there. So, in an effort to cool my family because it’s memorial weekend in Phoenix, I called a competitor. The competitor came out at 1am, with NO EXTRA FEES because they felt so bad about Western States no-showing on us and the competitor performed the warranty repair.

We just had our regular maintenance appointment with the company that saved the day after Western States no-showed us in May, and the absolute kicker was that apparently when Western States installed the attic unit in 2018 they didn’t put on the P-trap, despite the unit having a sticker that specifically says “Do not operate without a condensate drain trap ”. So now I have to pay to have the P-trap installed because I won’t do business with Western States Home Services any more.

Bought an AC unit (Carrier) 5 years ago and at the time they offered rebate on your purchase. The price was fair, Carrier is a good unit and the installers were nice. The entire time we had them service our unit annually with the exception of 1 year we had another licensed company perform the service. At our service I asked about the fan which had a little oil leak so I asked about the warranty. He said we would need to maintain annual service or the warranty would be void (over the barrel I think) he also said they could sell us a maintenance package for 700+ for 6 months. We declined at the moment and decided to call Carrier and see how the warranty works. Come to find out Western States never registered the unit like they said they would and we now we do not have a warranty (would have had 5 more years left). We also repeatedly had to chase them down for months to get them to respond and send the rebate. So my advice is register the unit yourself and don't fall for any frills or hard sells. The acid wash of the coils is 350 dollars without the maintenance package. The acid, $28.00 on-line and they rinse it off. What a racket!

I would give a zero but then could not leave a review. 8 weeks. My house is in a shambles. No one returns calls. They still haven't finished the actual a.c. install. Their installer is rude. My carpet had a hole burned in it by the installer and is still not fixed because they send a carpet cleaner who wants to hack a hole in another spot to fix their mistake. They broke my hall light while installing. They bought a new light but have yet to install it. Left a huge hole in my ceiling that finally got fixed week 6. My smoke detector is hanging loose. I have to use a flashlight to climb my stairs at night. At this point, I am going to have to look into legal action since no one returns calls. Tony the general manager is just unresponsive. Sub par work and zero customer service. Save yourself the headache. I would never reccomend this so called business.

Our entire experience with Western States Home Services was top notch! We needed a new HVAC system to completely replace our 16 year old outdated R-22 unit. Right in the middle of the busiest time of the year for A/C, their technician Ken came out to inspect the situation and let us know all of our options. He didn't take advantage of a broken unit in Arizona summer, he truly wanted to help. He was so professional and knowledgable. We without hesitation felt we were receiving the best deal with unmatched service and moved forward with a brand new 4 ton HVAC unit. Western States was able to come out the very next day and remove the entire old system both indoors and out, then install all the new equipment. They were incredibly communicative and the installers were clean, professional, and friendly. If I was able to rate this company more than 5 stars I would. It's hard to come across an entire team in todays world with such commitment to excellence. I highly recommend Western States Home Services and will be referring them to anyone I come across in need.

We unfortunately had to install a new AC conditioner and this company sent us out a new technician named Daniel. He is not new to the industry, just new to us. We have been using this company for just under 15 years and have rarely been disappointed. He was very courteous and respectful. He showed up on time and did a great job!! 😊
