Sad to leave a review like this.
I signed up for a credit card from the store after being told by the sales person that purchases of $1000 will automatically qualify for a 12 months no interest promotion. A month goes by I get my first credit card statement and it turns out the promotion is only 6 months.
Called the bank they say “sorry nothing we can do”
Talked to the store manager and he say”sorry nothing we can do”
Beware they mislead you to sign up and then you are stuck with the bill.

I received a message asking to contact corporate customer service and they didn’t know how to direct my phone call so no change in this situation

Ordered a trailer from their website to have shipped to store. Website stated item was in stock at the distribution center and I could pick up in a few days.

A few days goes by and I get an email stating item is backordered and could take 12-18 business days.

At 15 business days, I call to inquire about my order and they can’t locate the trailer. Was told I could cancel the order after waiting almost a month or place another order and wait another month.

What kind of retail company sells products that aren’t in stock and don’t communicate with customers proactively?! I had to wait almost an entire month for me to call to find out the trailer that supposedly shipped just disappeared. How do you lose a trailer?!

First time buying from Northern Tool and it will be the last. Customer service is terrible and the whole experience felt like I was loaning them money for a month and got absolutely nothing out of it.

Can’t thank Phil from West Allis location enough. Helped me hunt down some Milwaukee batteries that had been hard to come buy and out of stock. Truly rock star service with that guy.

I love shopping at this store. Great staff and products. Only issue I have is they are to far away from my home. Thank goodness for on line ordering!

Was looking for a particular item, not inexpensive, and their website indicated that there were nine in stock at this location. Drove from Mequon to West Allis, about 35 miles one way, and when we arrived we were told that they had none available and they were all returned to the warehouse and the website was incorrect and not updated.

When we arrived and enquired about the item they looked at us like we were fools, that is when they finally looked up from their smartphones. No customers in the store at the time, none, and apparently no interest in serving customers.

Why would I go back there?

Products and staff are always perfect. My complaint is the order fulfillment. Delivery dates are always later than quoted. Warehouse and store apparently do not share inventory. Product ordered was on the shelf in the store but I had to wait until another unit was shipped to the store. In my case the original order said it would be in October but it wasn’t in the store until the 3rd week of December. No way to cancel in the mean time either. Seems very disconnected. They always say you need to split orders if some items are in stock and others are ordered (ship to store), but then your discounts will no longer apply (since you need minimum $$$ amount). Just frustrating overall.

There are several Ladies that work the Checkout that will bend over backwards to make sure you're a happy Customer. I appreciate that kind of service.

Horrible website, wouldn’t take my credit card, message said call customer service. I call customer service, this was a pickup order, they tell me they can only ship the order, 8 day wait. Had to use another web browser and pay with PayPal to place the order using the same credit card. Ridiculous.

Friendly, helpful staff, and usually have the tools I'm looking for at a competitive price.

Northern Tool is and was neat and orderly. It was easy to find what I was shopping for. The associates were knowledgeable with their merchandise. Checkout was fast and fun. There were some really good deals on power equipment. If you need tools and hardware this is your place.
