I am giving five stars simply because of the nice lady named Lisa in the West Allis, WI store. She is one of the managers and took care of my issue completely. The item I bought isn't important to this review. This is more a review of this store as much as anything else. Lisa simply treated me and my issue with an item I had ordered with complete respect of my issue with the item. She arranged a full refund to my total satisfaction. I will remain an in store customer of Northern Tool in West Allis, but will not order online anymore.

Bought a cart on wheels and the quality was unacceptable so we tried to return it and they charged a 15% restocking fee. So we paid for an expensive cart that was not the quality that you would expect for that expense and the charges to return it $34. I wouldn't buy any product from there if they can't stand behind it. Unacceptable! That's literally stealing from people!

We purchased a meat slicer online because they had the best prices. Unfortunately, the meat slicer is a giant piece of junk! The motor bogs down and it starts to smell hot after only a couple of passes. It struggled to make it through a small ham. We contacted Northern Tool to return it, as it is obviously either very poor quality or defective. After explaining the situation, we were told we can return it, but only if we bring it back to the closest store (which is this one about an hour away from where we live), or we have to pay to ship it back, plus we are subject to a restocking fee. Apparently this company doesn't not stand by it's products. I should have just spent the extra money and purchased from Amazon. At least they have free returns.

Customer service was very good. Had a bad Milwaukee Tool battery from a fan kit and they replaced it. I probably would have given 5 stars, but the manager tried to tell me that the battery wasn't from that kit. I had my receipt and told him to look how clean that battery was. Still impressed that the problem was resolved. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much.

walked in and was instantly greeted and assisted. The associate was kind and helpful in getting the right product and even searching stoke in the back to get the right one. great experience. also the cashier opened the box when we realized it was a return and the box was resealed.

Never ever use "ship to store" option. The site will list ship to store as delivery to location of your choice within 5-12 business days for not in stock items. This isn't great to begin with but ok. At the 13 day mark they will then say 5-12 days is actually the consider the time to ship the item not for it to be delivered to store. Uh-huh. That's not at all what the site says but ok. At 18 days they will say ok well its coming just hang tight and the store will call when it arrives. At 25 days um we can't say where the item(s) are, but they will arrive sometime. After this if you request to cancel the order because you've already purchased the same items from same supplier for less and recieved them 2 weeks ago, they inform you they have no way to cancel and refund purchase, it must be done at the delivery location...... after they have recieved your items.
This is all to ignore the fact that their prices have increased while their actual products and brands are now trending quickly to harbor freight clones. Not to disparage harbor freight, but why pay the premium price for the same stuff?
Anyway, unless they are very close and it's a critical need, they don't really rate being a worthwhile place anymore.

I drive an hour to buy a soft wash system for my business. Totally worth the drive! Their selection of tools is awesome. I'll need to spend more than me next time to learn the layout of the store. But wow was I happy!

I always find the good, solid tools and parts I need at Northern Tool. I always shop the website first to make sure they have it, the do some price comparisons. They always have the best quality at great prices, never been disappointed.

I love this place. It's my one stop shop for my business needs. Lisa is wonderful to work with. She recommended things that have made my tasks easier. Her experience shows. She is a delight, knowledgeable, and on task. The rest of the staff there is great as knowledgeable as well... Lisa happens to be there almost every time I shop.
