Technician showed up late. "serviced' 2 AC units in less than an hour, which has never been done that quickly in previous visits. Rushed out quickly to the next appt. I checked the units, didn't clean out external AC units from fall debris. Replaced parts on units without telling me why. Replaced one furnace filter, which costs double what I can get at Home Depot. All in $330 dollars.
Called service manager to address 'rushed' service and no cleanout. Told me, 'its hard to do' and it might cost me more. Reminded him that in all their previous visits, the cleanout has always been done. Replied that each technician does service differently, so there was nothing he could do.
I mentioned my service and purchase history with the company for the past many years, and have used them consistently across two properties, just trying to affirm that I am a loyal customer and not just a hard case looking for a price break.
"Can't do anything more, unless you want to pay more" I was told again. Case closed.
So i got to thinking, maybe it is just one guy. We've all experienced this and I hope in this case it is true. So buyers beware, if you read this, please ask ahead of time what tech is scheduled for your HVAC appointment. If it is Max, maybe, you should ask for someone else to avoid the hassle I endured. I learned an expensive lesson here, maybe you can avoid the same frustration.
Oh, and buy all your air filters online. They are half the cost of what I was charged by CB.
I highly recommend Cliff Bergin. In below zero temperatures, my furnace stopped running on a Sunday night. After calling my previous service and 4 others, only Cliff Bergin returned the call. My husband then called and someone came out again - finally 3-4 days later we got a formal estimate - about two months after I first reached out - that was 100% higher than the verbal one we were given.
While waiting, we got a competitive quote that was close in range and booked them instead of Cliff Bergin.
I get everyone is understaffed and this is a busy time for HVAC business, but it's not acceptable to not call back or communicate at all.
We had used Cliff Bergin in the past but will not moving forward.
The technician Mark was very courteous at my home. I like his good attitudes and good explanations to me. He repaired my faucet (cannot divert the water) and the leaking issues for the sink by the side in my main bath room. Mark also repaired the leaking issues for the sink in my kitchen. I like Mark's services a lot. Thank you for your services.
Sewer drain was backed up with some pretty nasty smelly debris present. Without any hesitation, the plumber started to attack the mess with a pump and his expertise. He covered all the bases from one drain hole to another. He was successful in winning the battle. Thanks for your help. Now only the mess for me to tackle.
We hired Cliff Bergin & Associates, Inc. to install a new toilet after a mega leak a year ago. They were so great at getting us exactly the toilet we wanted. When Tom came out, he was super! He did great work and went over everything with us in detail plus answers extra questions before leaving. True Pro!
Very professional and informative estimator helped us make an informed decision about the best furnace for our house. Installation crew was friendly and thorough. They did not rush anything and stayed until all equipment was installed and up and running. Would definitely recommend.

2-28-20 (Updated 3-4-20) Before I start my review to be fair to this business. All of our past experiences have been good. They have done what we asked and were happy with the services provided.
Today, my wife and I had an estimator come out and give us a quote on a Furnace and A/C unit to be replaced. We have been a customer of them for a long time and the previous home owners were as well.
The gentleman who came out to give the estimate was rather brash and kept trying to up-sell us something we did not want or need. He was very much perceived as being presumptuous in what our needs were.
The price quoted was comparable to another company that we had quote the job as well.
Needless to say due to this individuals high pressure sales tactics we chose to use another company. Which we also decided to go with a higher model because this other company did not use high-pressure sales tactics.
So in the end you will get more sales with less high pressure tactics and treat all customers the same regardless if their furnace is on its last leg or not.
For those who are interested the individuals initials are D.M.
Needless to say unfortunately due to this experience will no longer require your company's services in the future either.
