Our AC decided to crash on one of the hottest days of the year (of course)!! Called Area Heating and Cooling and they had a tech out within an hour and repaired within another hour! Yes; emergency response was a little spendy but... "supply and demand"...I get it! I am a happy customer!

Received a voucher for the Washington clean air program and received a handful of quotes. Area AC was the most helpful, thorough, and within our budget. There were no sales tactics or talking bad about other companies, which I appreciated. Ductless system was installed about 3 weeks later. The crew was informative, respectful, asked questions and permission. They worked quickly and efficiently and left all working areas spotless. Would highly recommend, especially with PNW summers. Thank you all so much! We are so excited to finally be cool and comfortable this summer!!

Very nice employees. Very easily explained what they were going to do, showed me the removed ducts, took pictures of the finished work, cleaned up everything after they were done. Excellent service. Thank you for fixing the crawl space furnace ducts. I know it’s not an easy job.

Had an annual service done. Tech seemed very knowledgeable, was kind, and answered questions. Felt like I received a good service at a fair price. Will use them again.

The blower on my furnace went out right before 100* Temps meaning no AC. I was able to get a quick appt and tech quickly identified the issue and repair was done in only 20 min. My furnace is 23 years old so I assumed I would be spending thousands to replace, but very happy with quick and inexpensive fix to keep it running longer!

I have used this company three times over the last couple years. Once for general maintenance and twice for repairs. In all cases, they have been professional, fast and friendly.
Request Taylor Payne he is a rockstar!

We are very happy we decided to use Area heating and cooling to install our mini split system. Scott the sales rep who came to the house was very knowledgeable and did a great job getting us the best system for our needs. And worked really hard to make it happen sooner rather than later. The group of install guys who came to our house Richard, Mason, Taylor and Jim were a great group of guys. They all were very professional and polite. They all worked great together and were very efficient. I think this company has some great employees working for them. We would and will recommend Area heating and cooling to everyone we know.

I had one of those problems that comes in “layers.” Fix one thing, which reveals the next layer of issue. I get that. While the initial response was great - timely, with a rapid diagnosis, but the parts had to be ordered. This is where my issues come into play. Were the parts actually ordered? Where are they? How long does it take? On two of these scenarios - no they weren’t. Or they didn’t come in. Or something. After weeks of waiting to hear ANYTHING, I would call, talk to management, and then “suddenly” the parts were available locally to be installed in a day or two.
Unfortunately in my case - they didn’t solve the problem. Next round - the same thing / different day. Friendly and courteous people, but follow through by service is atrociously bad.
One more thing - on one of these instances they replaced a capacitor. On the next visit, a different tech said I had the “wrong” capacitor. Replaced it again. Charged me twice. On the last visit, to replace a fan motor that should cost - maybe - $200, replaced it with one that costs $900. But according to the tech, who had to borrow some of my tools to complete the exchange, I was “fortunate” that the capacitor I had matched the new motor, or I would have been charged for a 3rd one - “saving” me “a couple hundred bucks.”
And the guarantee for this work? “Until the taillights of the service vehicle disappear at the end of the driveway.
Absolutely outrageous pricing. But if this last trip actually fixes my problem - guess I won’t know until cold weather returns. By then, the service van will have travelled well beyond the end of my driveway.
