Avoid this company at all costs!

Last year, we hired this company to replace the motor in our heat pump for around $2000 including parts and labor. Unfortunately, after the replacement, our heat pump became incredibly noisy, which was blamed on the new motor.

Less than 10 months later, our heat pump stopped working altogether, and the company was called back to diagnose the issue. They found that a bracket had broken and a mounting screw had come loose. The solution they suggested was to replace the entire unit for $12,000.

When I asked why they couldn't replace the broken bracket, which they had obviously not installed correctly, they claimed they couldn't find the part and it wouldn't hold anyway because the unit was old. A few days later, they told me they had found the bracket but it would cost nearly $300 plus labor to fix. They wouldn't even share where they found the part, leading me to believe they were trying to gouge me.

In the end, I went to Home Depot, found a suitable bracket for only $5, and fixed the issue myself. The heat pump now works perfectly and is so quiet that I can't even tell when it turns on.

Stay far away from this company. They made no effort to correct their first mistake, overcharged for parts, and provided poor quality work.

This is the fourth or fifth service event for my heat pump. It’s either an inferior product or the service team is improperly trained and doesn’t know how to repair it. The current incident is going to cost me nearly $2000 and the system is just two years old. The Area Heating team is responsive and professional enough but I’m just bleeding money here looking for some relief.

Install was smooth and the team on site communicated well. They found an issue on another piece of our system and had to setup a followup for maintenance, but communicated throughout.

Both Richard and Mason were friendly and fully cooperative. Willingly answered every question and explained anything important. They were knowledgeable and demonstrated pride in their work.
