I highly recommend Narrows Heating and Air Conditioning. They installed my first hybrid heat system, and I went with them again.

They do both commercial and residential work.

Chris took his time explaining the pros and cons. I felt confident going with the xv19 side discharge heat pump and the xv95 furnace. Chris scaled up another half ton on the heat pump to cope with 100+ degree heat.

Both units are variable speed and extraordinarily quiet…. So quiet my neighbors are buying one too. They no longer hear my heat pump.

The new control module can be controlled from the phone.

They showed up at 8am, finished at 4 pm. They weren’t satisfied with something on the first heat pump, so they sent it back to the warehouse and brought another new unit for install…….

My house is now comfortable all the time.

We hired Chris and Narrows Heating to replace an old oil furnace with a 4-ton central heat pump system for our 3,150 sq ft house originally built in 1959. We had 3 companies out to bid on the project, all highly rated. We were immediately impressed by the professionalism of Chris and his thoughtful problem-solving related to our particular HVAC needs. The bid from Narrows was not the lowest, but Chris' lack of sales pressure and detail-oriented answers to our questions won us over.

The installation itself was performed over 2 days by an extremely amiable and competent crew who worked calmly and neatly, dealing expertly with a pretty crowded basement installation space criss-crossed by the house's plumbing and electrical wiring. The city permitting and inspections were handled smoothly by Narrows and their electrical subcontractor, and the inspectors arrived a couple of days after installation was complete and quickly signed off on the work.

We look forward to having AC for the first time on hotter days, and not dealing with the smelly, dirty polluting oil furnace during the winter months. I would highly recommend Narrows based on our experience.

The installation team was outstanding - on time, very professional, answered all my questions, clearly committed to the project, provided an overview of the work, and literally left the job site BETTER than when they arrived. The support staff at the front office was responsive and very detailed oriented, as well.

Overall, Narrows provides good quality workmanship, high value with Trane products, and professional on-time services.

Narrows installed a ducted heat pump system for us and we loved working with them. They honored a quote from a few months prior while we sorted other projects. They scheduled the work promptly and completed the job in the allotted time. The team was friendly and respectful in our home and they went above beyond to remove an additional natural gas fireplace and install a dryer vent for us that they noticed was missing while they were in the crawl space. Can't go wrong.

I had a split system heat pump installed in my home. The entire process was really well done. The estimate was simple, straightforward, and less than multiple other contractors in the area. The equipment installed was top of the line and sized properly. The installation was quick, tidy, and looks good. They also handled the permitting, inspections, and power company discount. I would recommend Narrows for any Heating and Air Conditioning project.

Heat pump installation plus duct modifications. Chris gave very helpful options and advice on selecting our system, and then with Ash also on a duct realignment. We really appreciated Danny and Kaden's excellent installation and customer relations skills. It felt like we really had the "A+ Team". Danny's experience and leadership, what a skilled duo. Everything done well. Courteously welcomed questions. Even added a little bonus trim. Fine orientation at the end. Electrician Bill was satisfactory-plus also.

Chris did a good job explaining options for a new heating/cooling pump. They took care of paperwork for the TPU incentives program. Installation took a day (small house). The office took care of arranging the mechanical and electrical inspections. All in all a smooth experience.

Narrows Heating recently added an electronic air filter to the heat pump/air handler system they'd installed at my home about 10 years ago.

The installation was completed professionally, on schedule, without surprise costs or fees, and with very little disruption to our household. The technicians were courteous and respectful.
