Alban was fantastic, he serviced the furnace very well. He explained very minor issues thoroughly and didn't try to upsell or pressure us into doing anything right away. He was very friendly and has great customer service skills.

The technician that helped us, Ethan. Was friendly, professional, and did a great job of explaining what he was doing and what he was looking for.

These guys used to be local and great. We had the team do a full overhaul of our hvac over the summer as well as two new gas fireplaces while under the old ownership. Then they got purchased by “just in time heating” and they became terrible just about over night. They have rescheduled me twice for a fix on their install, (a fireplace is not working) have not closed out their permit for the install of new hvac that still needs an inspection and are not providing the tools their staff need to correctly solve issues when they do come out. If you call them they will tell you they have a staff shortage. What they are not telling you is that the majority of the staff quit because they also don’t treat their employees well. My advice is go with someone else.

I'm updates this review to mention that after scheduling then cancelling their scheduled.time twice cougar has still not fixed their install. They do not stand by their products as they claim. As this has still not been fixed after months and months of waiting. If I could give them negative stars at this point I would.

Lamont and Judah were very professional and timely. They explained their process and shared with me how they look for issues and problems with their equipment. Very pleasant to work with.

Judah came to our rescue! We kept getting misinformation from previous company reps. The work took four visits and a twenty minute phone call to get a Sr. Tech to come who new how to set us up and marry the old equipment with the new! He knew his stuff and we are very grateful to have had him! What a blessing he was.😀

Lamont Mapp was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me multiple options for the issues I was having which was much appreciated!

Had Roman from cougar here to fix my furnace that wasn’t starting. It turned out that the igniter needed to be replaced. He told me that it shouldn’t ever need to be replaced and that there was a bigger problem that would cause it to continue to fail. There wasn’t. They charged nearly double the reasonable price according to what the second opinion I had quoted me for the igniter alone. This service tech took advantage of me, a woman home alone and tried to upsell me by telling me a part that is one of the most common replacement parts on a furnace shouldn’t ever need to be replaced. Had I not sought a second opinion, I would’ve paid another $1000 for a repair that was entirely unnecessary. I will make sure NONE of my friends or family EVER work with Cougar Mechanical.

Did an excellent job, explained everything. Have used Cougar Heating & Air Conditioning for years.
