I called for a “first available” appointment and was offered an appointment for within 2 days. On the morning of my appointment I was offered a “first appointment of the day” time slot and the technician arrived within about 20 minutes. Aaron was able to quickly troubleshoot my thermostat issue but took a moment to ensure that all was well with my systems which are in the attic space above closet access. There he found a gas leak that had not previously been noted or noticed. All was NOT well!
By taking an extra step I am confident that our lives were literally saved and that further potential future tragedy was averted. He repaired the gas leak, installed emergency shut off switches into the empty red emergency boxes that were near the systems , cleaned out a condensation build up and was professional and friendly throughout the morning despite having to go twice to pick up parts to complete the service. I’m now on a biannual preventative maintenance plan, my “smart” thermostat has been professionally programmed, and I’ll rest easily knowing that danger has been averted by this young man’s professionalism and going above and beyond the call of duty.
If he had just fixed my thermostat problem ( which was the basis for the service call), I’d have not known of the larger problem in my attic and potentially become a fatality.

AC unit broke a month ago. Shopped around with 5 different companies and decided to use Millers even though they were far from the cheapest. The service tech that came out was awesome and went above and beyond. Me and the wife talked it over and decided to go with Millers. Even though it’s pricey the service was stated to be above and beyond. The sales guy came by and George refused to budge on the estimate, which came out to over $9,100 for a 2 ton unit. Seemed pricey but they used the “service is bar none and 24/7” so it seemed okay as long as we don’t have to worry about the unit being serviced. Wasn’t a fan of the salesman tho because he felt very car salesman type. once we signed he called someone and bragged about making a sale in front of us.

So I sign and buy the unit. They couldn’t schedule it earlier than a week out, which was inconvenient since we are spending almost 10k when the other company cheapest was $5,600 but said they don’t know how they are able to be so cheap and the couldn’t possibly beat their warranty and service options millers offers.

Now, here we are on install day. They install the unit quickly but the unit does not work. Defective immediately. Those poor install guys worked on it all day for the brand new unit to be defective immediately. The brand new board on the actual unit is fried. They claim they can’t get a replacement board because of the weekend and not sure when it can be replaced. 10k brand new unit and it’s already broken and can’t be fixed for days maybe even weeks. They are saying the shop opens on Monday so we have another 3-4 days with no unit. So we sit in the heat and wait. I am just hoping they don’t give me “the item isn’t I stock we have to order it” on Monday. You’d think they would just take it out of another new unit or replace the unit.

What we get offered is extra service time, 2 years which is fine and service techs and install team is A+. But if I am gonna spend 10k for a brand new unit and it can’t make it past the install phase, that is extremely worrying. I almost left a 5 star review until today and willing to change my review later. But 2 extra years huh? If and I mean IF this new unit makes it that far at this point. You would think these companies would carry a small inventory of parts incase something crazy like this happens. They have zero preparedness for any new unit that’s defective and rely on a whole other place to get parts. This board should be a common part and you’d think with new installations. We are just disappointed at this point and considering just canceling it all together now. We haven’t decided yet. I just know if I knew then what I know now I might have just gone with the cheaper option. I could have probably had my ac working and spent 4 grand less.

With all that said. Ryan (install) and Jesse (service) was amazing and worked super hard and I give him 5 stars. They had zero control over what happened. I just expected more from the companies side for the ungodly amount these units cost. Just if you get a new unit installed do it on a weekday because if it needs parts and it’s Friday, you’re gonna be screwed til Monday and that’s if they even have the part and don’t have to order it.

Edit 5/1/2023: Well it turned out to be a happy ending in the end. They fixed all the issues and my ac is working amazingly. We had a couple more bumps but Millers above and beyond to make things better. After all the heart ache I still think I made a good choice.

They offered a good quote with extensive information to explain the difference in quotes. Their installation was thorough and very high quality. As promised they never left us without heat although the installation took 2 and a days. The team were all professional and meticulous in their work. The technician Taron, arrived exactly at the time he said he would. He was very respectful, personable, asked good diagnostic questions, and was very thorough in his evaluation and explanations of the identified problems. He took his time to make sure I understood what was going on and that all my questions were answered. Having a tech that has an information based style was very helpful, transparent, and builds trust. I started using this company in the fall of 2022 and everyone thus far has been great to work with.

Kyllar and Anthony were extremely professional and courteous. Had them over for two days to do a complete system replacement for the HVAC. Showed up on time, checked in with me regularly and took pictures to show work before and after. I would recommend Miller’s and the technicians again.

The first day I expected them to come out was completely frustrating, but after speaking to them I was told it was not the norm.
Unfortunately our system is very old, so they are replacing it.. I will update again after that experience next week.
Update: I'm currently on my third crew coming out here from them and every time a new person comes out I'm being told that the ductwork I paid to be replaced was incorrect, not replaced at all, not sealed, the safety wasn't hooked up at one point.. The list goes on. I'm just in shock that this is my experience with this company right now. I'm leaving two stars for now, and will update after this is all done. Everyone that comes out has been incredibly nice, unfortunately they aren't doing their job.
2nd update: A crew ended up coming out and doing 2 days of duct work that the first 2 groups of people failed to do. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. I believe we finally got what we paid for, but I'm still giving it some time to see if it's actually working properly.
Almost a month and many thousands of dollars later and I just would never recommend this company to anyone else. I got a lot of apologies but was never offered anything to make up for this awful experience. 6 days of having people coming in and out of my house and 3+ weeks of frustration of it not being done properly.. what a mess.
