Very competitive pricing and the Lennox system rates very high in Consumer Reports. Installation crew was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Recommended.
Teyven completed this season's maintenance. He was friendly and inspected our unit. In the past I seem to recall the technician clearing out the drain with force air and cleaning solution. I was amazed when Melanie came (maybe a year or two ago) and I noticed that she actually took off the panels on the outside unit to clean the coils. I can only remember one other technician that has done this. I do want to mention that the last 3 technicians that have come out have no clue or have not really trouble shoot my issue with my second thermostat (which occurs when it is really cold outside) the unit does not shut off if the outside temperature is hovering at about 32 degrees and i have to manually adjust the thermostat to shut it off. One other note: Teyven found an outlet panel within the indoor unit when he took off the panels and indicated that he did not know what it went to. Towards the end of his session, Teyven recommended I get a surge protector. I turned it down. I later found out that the outlet panel he found went to the existing surge protector.
Great communication from the office about our appointment. The technicians were professional and respectful. They worked quickly and thoroughly to check our system. We were very pleased with our service!
Longtime customer. Always satisfied with professionalism and courtesy of Rosenberg. Robert was on time and conducted his work extremely well and in a timely manner.
Derrick is the best. He is courteous and I trust him completely with his service. Takes his time and always explains everything so that I can understand. Thank you for the great service!
I have used Rosenberg Air for many many years and I only have good things to say about it all the time. They are super responsive to my emergencies (although, not very many in the years they have serviced us) and their service technicians are first rate. Mike led the team that installed a new furnace The maintenance crew are ultra professional, reports any kind of changes in the systems and works quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend this company, the management and their employees.
I love this company! They are so easy to book and are very responsive with any questions or if you need help! We are happy with the support and level of quality work! Five-star service and great technicians.
They're great on simple tune-ups, but don't trust their diagnostic skills, or go to them for parts replacements/installations. I originally called them in 2020 after buying my house because of a loud vibration sound. It turns out that all that was needed was to move the condenser on the block. However, I had to fight with the technician and emphasize my original problem to get to that solution. He did find one of my fan motors not rotating as it should so replaced that with a new one This would turn out to be a source of grief later.
Last year, the furnace motor for that same unit blew out. That technician gave me a quote for full system replacement and one for just the motor. I asked this technician the feasibility of there being any other potential issues with the unit that might sway it towards replace vs repair. I even had him step outside with me to look at the condenser as part of this conversation and pointed out that I hadn't had my tune-up yet and should that maybe be done now to be sure there were no other issues. He said no. And just emphasized the overall unit age. Given this isn't my forever home, I opted for the motor replacement. That was a headache with a lot of back-and-forth, which basically boils down to the new motor emitting a high-pitched whine and more noise than the original, which was never resolved to satisfaction.
Shortly after resigning to just living with this new noise, that fan motor they replaced a little over 2 years ago started turning on, ramping up, then ramping down, then ramping up again. I asked them to come out and look at it and this third technician said it was because the fan motor was failing. That made zero sense to me since the other condenser I own has a fan and motor that are still going strong and are original to the unit. So why was the one I paid them $1,054 for just over two years ago already failing? The motor was just outside of the manufacturer's warranty, so they said there was nothing they could do. I called a different HVAC company, only telling them the symptoms. That company concluded the motor was failing but the cause was because the capacitor was replaced in the past, and they had done a shoddy job as it was meant to be two separate parts and they'd gone with 1 part and jumped the wire to make it work. This resulted in extra amperage on the motor, which would burn it out. The original Rosenberg technician installing the new motor didn't catch this, it was never caught by any of the technicians doing the tune-ups, and it wasn't even identified as the root culprit from the latest technician. Once this other company pointed the discrepancy out, it's really easy to see as my other condenser clearly has the 2 separate parts and the unit isn't designed for the one. Why did not a single Rosenberg technician notice and warn about the impact to the motor? That motor totally died yesterday. So I paid them to replace a part that was guaranteed to fail because they repeatedly didn't see this other issue. And paid $1,505 for the other motor assuming the unit would otherwise be fine given their tech didn't see a big concern in thoroughly checking anything else when I asked.
Also, I don't know if their sales rep, Joe, was just having a bad week, but his response to me asking how long a quote was good for felt pretty darned disparaging. Any company that makes me wonder, "Would he have said the same if I were a man?" is not one I'm comfortable spending a lot of money for a big purchase on.
Some techs, like Melanie, are top-notch! And the front desk is great. But your mileage will vary. Given my experiences, I would not recommend them.
Great service. Good value. Exceptionally professional personnel. Melanie was an awesome technician with outstanding communication skills. I will definitely ask for her next time I need someone.
A+ Melanie was great!!! She arrived on time, explained what she was here to do and got to work right away keeping me informed the entire time. Thank you, Melanie!!!!
