We use A Better Deal Heating and Air through our home warranty company for a rental property we own in Texas. We don’t live in the state, but manage the rental ourselves. We’ve been more than happy with their service and communication, especially trying to keep up in things from afar. Definitely recommend them !
Our furnace stopped working on the coldest day of the year on a Sunday night at 8pm during a blizzard. Better Deal sent an agent out and in less than an hour we had heat. We have a two year old and we were just about to pack up and go to a hotel. Better Deal saved us. You MUST call them in an emergency.
We hired them to install a humidifier system and they repeatedly failed to show up on time. When they finally did, they started the job and couldn’t finish because someone was sick. I understand these things happen so we gave them another chance. They were suppose to show up from 3-5 pm and we chose this time because our little ones nap in the afternoon. They showed up at 1pm with no phone call letting us know they’d be early, and rang the doorbell even though we have a big sign that says not to. Both of the children woke up because of this and neither I or my husband was home at that time. My nanny had to deal with them and wasn’t expecting anyone to come. When we asked for a discount because of all these troubles, they refused. So they are removing the unit as we speak. Highly unprofessional and never shows up when they say to do the job!
WOW! I have VERY high expectations and this company blew me away. This is probably the 2nd time I’ve ever written a review on line but this company deserves a shout out! 😊 Most companies would have taken advantage of my a/c situation but Andrew didn’t. In fact I wanted to pay him more.. when does that EVER happen ? It doesn’t!! So thank you for operating your business with integrity and being so humble about your amazing experience and skill set. I will be telling all my friends to use you. I referred you to one person 5 min after you left. Thank you again... you gained a customer for life today.. 👍🏻

I was lured away by bigger companies with more trucks, but their prices are too high and they're always trying to sell more equipment and service. Andrew and his staff listen to me and give me just what I need, no more or less, at a fair price and in a very reasonable amount of time. Thanks for always giving me the option of A Better Deal!
Honesty is the Best Policy! As faithful customers for over 3 years, our A/C was low on refrigerant on this past Monday, 03/14/16 (the 1st heatwave of the year). To our surprise, Andrew was able to come out that same night as promised. We were not expecting to have service that quick, but Andrew came without hesitation & was finished in no time flat and the price was exactly as quoted! My husband was sooo happy with the price & I was sooooo happy to sleep in cool air!!! Honesty is truly the best policy!
Andrew came out at 9pm for the service call. We had been told by another company A#1 Air we needed a new evaporator coil. The second opinion Andrew gave was good news and he also fixed my evaporator coil box which the tech from A#1 Air damaged. I am thankful for the honest explanation of what actually needed to be done to fix my AC system and you have earned a new customer!
We have been using Andrew and his company for YEARS!! They are just incredible! You just won't find a more knowledgeable electrician and AC guy. Andrew kept our old AC running for years because it "was a better deal". We saved so much it was easy to justify getting a great unit when our 30+ year old one finally zonked.
I got the home warranty through this company thinking they would take better care of my home since they were local but every time I have a problem they have tried to find a way out of making the repairs and then charge me $75 to come out. For example the plumber they sent couldn’t find my clean out and said he couldn’t clear the pipe because of it and that since I didn’t have a clean out they wouldn’t come out for anymore plumbing issues. I called a local plumber and he found the clean out in less than 15 seconds. That’s the level of ineptitude at this company. The next time I had an issue and decided to give them another chance it was an AC issue. The guy that came out said they didn’t cover it because it was dust related and it would cost $900 to fix. Again called a local technician and they did the repair for half the quoted cost by this company. Avoid any dealings with this company.
Had an issue with a leaking PVC pipe that involved our AC units. Called their number at 3pm on a Saturday and was given a choice of time for a service call (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year), whatever was convenient for us. Dusty showed at 9pm the same night and fixed the issue in 15 minutes. No up-selling, no “special parts”, nothing additional - he simply fixed the issue! I was charged the unbelievable $25.00 service call fee plus the cost of service...which was very, very affordable and much less than I had thought it would be.
If ever I have an HVAC, appliance, electrical or plumbing issue in the future, my FIRST and ONLY call will be to A Better Deal, I’m a customer for LIFE!!!
