Brian came out to repair our heater and, of course, like any repair, it turned out to be more complicated than anticipated. He stayed until everything was working perfectly for no extra charge. A++! Highly recommend.

We have lived in our 17 year old home for 12 years. I have had several contractors, of all types during this period. A-Better-Deal/Andrew was referred to me by my one of our go-to general contractors for HVAC work, several years ago. To date, I have never regretted my decision or their work!

A-Better-Deal, has always been on time, no B.S. , and delivers exceptional quality and ownership of their work.

After nursing my 17 year old twin AC units, one finally had to be replaced. A-Better-Deal, exceeded my exceptions yet again! On time, highly competitive pricing and to me as important, they cleaned up the job site when the job was competed! Too many times, be it Roofing, Landscaping, Fence Repair, etc, I have been to the point of begging these contractors to please pick up after themselves! It is outrageous, but I digress.

Andrew's crew did not even leave a foot print!

When the time comes to replace out other AC unit, without hesitation, I am calling A-Better-Deal.

This company installed a unit new back in June that is still not working. Once installed, the drain did not work causing water to come out of the unit and damage an interior wall and projector screen, which was never repaired. That issue got resolved in a few weeks after the initial installation and the unit worked for a couple months.

It has now not been working for another 5 weeks and I can not get them out to repair it. I have called daily for about 3 weeks trying to get any information on when it would be fixed. Finally the part came in this past Monday and we scheduled an appointment for first thing Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning came and went without any word from the company. Called twice without having any information provided and finally got feedback that they could come by the house after 7 PM. Missing appointments, trying to show up after hours, not returning calls happens CONSTANTLY with the company. I am about to take them to court to get my money back and find another company to fix what this one can't do.

Better Deal is THE best deal! Gregory was my technician and he was professional, knowledgable, on time & smart! He needed to diagnose problem with clogged line and he did so quickly. It was his 2nd visit for same problem. Thought we had the solution fixed but unfortunately we developed same clog. He insisted on not charging us a second time for same problem since he had not gotten it fixed the 1st time. This is the kind of company you want! Thank you A Better Deal!

We have now used A Better twice, once with a coolant issue and now with a capacitor issue. Andrew is always very professional, communicative and fair. I will continue to use them in the future and would recommend them to annoying with AC and heating issues!!

My water heater split and was leaking water. I called A Better Deal and asked for a quote on replacing it. A tech arrived a few hours later and took the information off of the side of my old unit and excused himself to his service van to write up the quote. He came back to the door and told me the price, which was a little high. I asked what brand of water heater he planned to install and it was a brand I know to be "builder grade". I thanked the tech and explained that I would be getting a second opinion, to which he said I owed him $50.

I thought he was joking! $50 to give me a quote? Apparently if you don't immediately purchase from this company they consider it a service call instead of a quote. I told the tech to scram and felt relieved I didn't choose this company to work on my home. My phone rings a few minutes later and it's the woman at their office telling me the tech would be coming back to my home and WOULD be leaving with payment. I laughed and then hung up.

These people give mechanical contractors a bad name. Pay attention to all the negative reviews about A Better Deal. You've been warned.

Excellent!! I called A Better Deal at 8pm and my unit is already repaired at 10pm! Tom immediately knew the problem. He said it was likely the blower wheel and the motor. When he got it taken out, he quickly determined that the blower wheel might be just fine--and it was (saved us $150!!)He easily could have unnecessarily charged us a higher price and we'd have never known. But instead, he provided honesty and excellent skill. My home is cool and my mind is eased knowing that are still people of integrity in the world today. Thanks!

AC went out today (Sunday). I called 5-6 others businesses from my Google search within my area hoping to get ahold of some one to do an emergency fix and ABD was the first to even pick up their line. Andrew was at my house within an hour. Opened up my AC unit outside and within a matter of seconds identified the problem. Capacitor went out. Andrew pulled the piece out, replaced it within a few minutes and powered it back on. Incredible! I was stressing out so much as I’ve got a pregnant wife and I’m trying to keep us comfortable as possible and Andrew saved the day. I would HIGHLY recommend A Better Deal Heating & Air. Andrew was amazing, talented, friendly and well priced. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to us.

Our heat pump went out and we called A Better Deal on the recommendation of a friend. After assessing the situation, we decided since we were on an old R22 system, we might as well bite the bullet and get a new system instead of pouring money into fixing an outdated system. Well, our new system won’t be installed until Dec 1st, but John called us up on Sat. November 28th and said “it looks like it’s going to get cold these next few days so let me come by and temporarily fix your system enough to where you will at least have heat until your new system gets installed”. So he showed up 30 minutes later and got it working temporarily!! We didn’t call and ask for this service (we were just gonna use a couple of space heaters for now), but John went out of his way on a Saturday to take care of us!! We don’t even have our new system in yet, but so far the customer service is above and beyond! Thanks John!!
