Shane realy took the time to educate me on the problem he fixed. I really appreciate that he waited for me nearly an hour to make it home that shows me how the company understands peolples different situations and not just collecting the money. I would really recommend giving them a call if you need your a/c repaired and look at their preventative maintenance program like Shane encouraged me to do with by showing me how low maintenance charges will save hundreds in the long run. I decided to get two opinions on an A/C issue and I’m thankful that I did. One A/C guy was recommended by my neighbor (because she had told me earlier that she knew a guy) and the other was Comfort Star (which I had used before - Shane both times). I called Comfort Star and was annoyed by the $65 service fee because the other guy didn’t charge anything for coming to take a look.

Long story short, the other guy charged me $160 to replace a part that he thought would fix it (it didn’t - it stopped working 15 minutes after he left). He then came back the next day and said I needed to replace my entire AC unit ($3800 total included the friend discount). I was planning on canceling the Comfort Star appointment because I trusted the other guy but I’m glad I forgot. Shane from Comfort Star showed up and I expected confirmation of what I was told two hours before. Instead, I was told that the problem was obvious and no need to replace the entire unit as everything else was in good condition. It ended up costing $400 to fix, but more importantly, he fixed it on the spot versus a 4 days later (which might as well be a year without A/C in Houston).

Anyway, I’m very glad I kept the appointment. They saved me a lot of money (and stress from not having A/C). I learned my lesson and it’s great having a working A/C again.

I had a couple of companies come out and they told me they couldn’t work on my furnaces because they were not trained how to fix new AC models. I called Comfort Star AC. Shane came to my home, a super nice guy who was working in AC business for 34 years and within 5 mins he knew what my problem was.

Confort Star was extremely helpful and professional. Very hands on and more then willing to tell you and explain what they're doing and what needs to be done. Fast and quick to install my new unit. Cleaned up and didn't make a mess.

I am very satisfied with the replacement of my A/C system at my condo in Houston's Medical Center area. Not only were the workers pleasant and friendly but the work and service afterwards was outstanding. They did a nice clean job (very professional) and our airconditioner is working great. I highly recommend using Comfortstar for all of your air conditioning needs.

Got a new heat pump installed and works wonderfully. Had a free assessment and the tech was not a salesman, which I appreciated.
