Comfort Star

I’ve used comfort Star for years because they are an honest and fair company. The owner is extremely hands-on, which is something that I value. At every service, each rep has troubleshot the problem correctly, but they always take that extra step to run it by their team so you’re not just getting the 1 person’s opinion. When I call, they know my entire service history and it’s often the owner who is calling back within the hour!

You never really know if someone is being honest with you about what services you need until you have tried or not tried their recommendations for several years. I can attest to the fact that Comfort Star is looking at the long term overall health of the AC unit and NOT trying to scam you on a quick buck that leads to another service in the future.

Their honest assessment of what needs to be done now and what can wait helps me to plan/save for the future. There are so many AC companies in Houston. Don’t pick one that isn’t going to be around or isn’t looking out for you. You can’t ask for a more personal/honest company! Comfort Star is my go-to AC company.

The technicians and team at Comfort Star are amazing! We just had our old, original A/C unit replaced by them and within a day, I can already tell the difference in air quality and air crispness in our home. They were super knowledgeable, responsive, professional and extremely thorough. Scheduling was a breeze and whole job completed in one morning! Highly, highly recommend!!

I own a business so I know the level of standard I hold my own employees and technicians. I sent a request to Comfort Star on their website outlining the issue and they responded within a few hours and said they could have someone out the same day. I wasn't available same day so I scheduled the following late afternoon. Dispatch called me back and let me know that the tech could be there early afternoon if needed - this worked out perfect and he was right on time. The technician (Bert), was one of the most professional and knowledgeable technicians (at any company I have dealt with). In addition to diagnosing and correcting the issue, he gave me a great introduction to Comfort Star and outlined all of the services offered and their capabilities ... never seemed salesy or like he was trying to push anything, just 100% professional technical company representation. I will be using this company from here on out. Excellent Experience.

My experience with Comfort Star came via my home warranty company. From the initial set up with reception to the final signed repair order, I could not have asked for an easier transaction. I had the pleasure of dealing with HVAC technician Burt. Burt was the utmost professional. He was on time and was able to diagnose and repair my issue all while keeping a smile on his face in the 100 degree heat outside. He took time to explain where my issue was coming from and gave me some good maintenance tips. I trusted his service so much I inquired about a yearly maintenance plan and signed up the same day. Skip the BS sales pitches from other companies. If you are looking for fast, professional, reliable services, these are the guys for you!

Comfort Star is by far the best company we have had to work with our AC and Heating units. We encountered them through our home warranty company but would use them regardless of this. Everyone at Comfort Star is friendly... from the office staff that create appointments and alert you when the technician is coming to the technicians and managers. We had a HUGE job completed with our Duct work this summer, where it was all replaced... I felt like the technicians cared about doing a good job, they all have pride in their work and really make me feel comfortable with my decision to use thier services. I most recently had a technician come to fix my heater (we’ve had a similar problem each fall where the heater just won’t come on). Most companies just come and jiggle the switch and it turns on...literally that has happened to me 3 years in a row. This year I asked my warranty company to send Comfort Star only ... today we found out WHY it hasn’t been coming on right away each year... our technician spent over half an hour in our attic figuring out what was really wrong and actually FIXED the issue. I would recommend Comfort Star without reservation to anyone needing repairs or new systems. They care. They do incredible and thorough work. They are a company that does what they say they will do each time. Thank you Comfort Star for taking care of my home!!

I was having problems with one of my air conditioning units, and I was referred to Comfort Star Emergency AC Repair. They went way above the call of duty. They we're very responsive and honest. The technician and the office staff were very professional, concerned and upfront. The technician, was upfront and told me that he replaced a part, but that the unit was over 30 years old, and would probably need replacing soon. Over the next couple of weeks, the Office Manager even called to check on us. We did end up having to replace the furnace. The price was fair, the technician and crew did an excellent job, and they even helped me get financing.

I called Comfort Star this morning because our air conditioner was not working last night. Maria took the steps necessary to get us help THIS MORNING!! Amazingly quick response! The service person Zack French was very thorough, professional, and explained the issues in terms I could understand. We have been a Comfort Star customer for many years and this experience once again made it clear to us that they are a great HVAC contractor. Thank you Comfort Star (as I sit here in my cool air conditioned loft!!!).

We had a One Guard Warranty and our AC went out. The Warranty company sent out Comfort Star AC and a repairman named Bert. Bert introduced himself and his company and then intently listened to our issue. He quickly and efficiently detected that we needed a new capacitor. He retrieved one from his truck and replaced the old with the new, tested the system and it was working again. He then asked to go into our attic to make sure we were ok there as well. All good! I would definitely recommend Comfort Star if you are in need of AC repair. Bert was kind knowledgeable, efficient, made sure his work area was clean and extremely kind and polite. Well done Comfort Star!

Very professional service. We had our whole unit replaced and installed in 2015 by Comfort Star. The advise we got was to the point and now a year later we are very happy with their recommendation. We had our first check up of the system last week and that went great. The workers are on time and very respectful of your stuff if the have to through the house. Habib came to check up on his guys and takes time to ask if their are questions and or concerns. I would recommend Comfort Star to all who needs help with their AC.

We have used Comfort Star for about a year now. They were sent by the home warranty company and we now request them by name. They have always responded really quickly to any calls, which is especially important when your A/C suddenly goes out in July. Two friends and I have moved our service contracts over to Comfort Star. Zack has explained everything very well and we are sure the maintenance will delay the inevitable problems with our older system. Highly recommend.
