Great customer service! They are honest and timely, two traits that are hard two find anymore when doing business. Decatur heat and air have always done us right. With repairs and maintenance.

My AC unit is 25 years old, and needed servicing the in mid-July 2018. The freon was low, and they filled it. They told me that given the age of my unit, I might need to buy a new one, but my AC stayed ice cold all summer.

In late October, the AC went out again. Since it was October, I new I wasn't going to need AC for a few months, and decided to defer the expense of a new unit until 2019.

In May of 2019, AC still not working. Called these guys to see if they could service the unit again, or bite the bullet and buy a new one.

When they came out I asked them to see what was wrong, and told them based upon the experience of the previous summer, that I was fully expecting to cough up a few thousand for a new AC unit. After they serviced the unit, they said all I needed was a new thermostat.

These are great people who know what they are doing and stand behind their work. You are crazy to call anyone else.

I had an appt set up with them between 12-3. I missed a call from them at 2:44 pm. I literally call them back 1 min later (I have the phone log, time stamped to prove this), left a message and never got a call back. An hour later, their main office calls me explaining that the tech couldn’t reach me and they had to tell him to move on. I told her that’s not true. I called back him back and left a message. I pleaded with her to see if he could come back. It’s 95 degrees and miserable! She says no and advised that they can come back the next day (Saturday) but that it’ll be an extra $250!!!!! Otherwise it would t be until the following Monday. I had already taken the day off to wait for them. I wasn’t going to do it again and I wasn’t going to pay extra $250 for something I don’t think I was completely at fault for!!!!! I called another company and had a tech out within 2 hours!

They replaced the original ac unit that they installed in our house 13 years ago with a new 14 SEER unit. We have used Decatur Heat and Air exclusively since we built our house and they have always done an outstanding job at a fair price.

We are more then happy with the care and service we received from Decatur Heat & Air. They made sure we had a cool house as soon as they could get the parts in. Plus they are very and personable people to work with.

Very knowledgeable an truthful. I felt confident about James'work. James did not use words like I think or maybe, he was very knowledgeable and spoke in definitive terms. James used his experience, knowledge, and instruments and gauges to diagnose my problems. No hocuspokus or bluffing used to explain what he was doing to fix or diagnose issued.
The company provided a Veterns discount to me and I was grateful and respectful that they consider the Veterans.
I would feel confident in recommending this company.

I called about my a.c. not working properly and they came within about an hour later checked out the unit. They diagnosed the problem very quickly. They told me to take care of the problem inside and if that didn't care of the problem they may have to come back and check the outside unit again. I am very pleased with my 1st experience with them. They are very knowledgeable and courteous. Will be using them on a permanent basis.
