What a great company to deal with. The owner, office staff, and technician were all professional and communicated in a timely manner. I had struggled with a few other companies, notably the one that installed my new unit. Decatur Heat and Air had a sense of urgency and went above and beyond to take care of us. We are customers for life.

Absolutely amazed by how professional these guys are. My wife is pregnant and due soon, we were having issues with our system so decided to replace it. These guys showed up on time, were extremely well mannered and ready to work. They didn’t make a mess, and if they did then they cleaned it up right away! They didn’t yell and shout, no cursing, no filthy conversation, no complaining. These are some top notch guys working for a top notch company. Hands down best choice.

This afternoon 2 gentlemen from your company, Michael & Dylan, came to my rent house to repair my AC. The inside temp of my house was 97 degrees and the house was 105. They worked for several hours outside and under the house - encountering several snake skins along the way. Throughout the horrible working conditions, they maintained their manners and their professionalism. To say that I was impressed, is beyond words. When they left, it was well after 5 and I even offered them a few beers to which they politely declined. Great guys!

Fairly prompt service, friendly enough. Cost I believe was excessive. $325 to evac a minisplit and vacuum lines (and only needed because "there is no way to know how much refrigerant is needed") system only take 6 pounds total.
+ cost of freon added 3lbs
+$80 diagnostic/ service fee that doesn't come off your total bill like most places, you pay it no matter what on top of everything- funny side note there was no diagnostics I told them exactly what the issue was and why.
so total almost $500 for 3lbs of r410a and a little over an hours work.
- They were available quickly after calling, came when they said they would, and fixed my problem, no complaints in that department.

My review was honest, fair and factual, I also don't appreciate you disclosing my surname online, that is unprofessional.
No "full diagnostic" was performed, it was not requested nor needed You charge $80 to come out for a service that can't reasonably be brought to you (home HVAC) so whatever you call it or claim it to be it is a base charge, that's your prerogative.
Yes I am in charge of approving or declining charges, I didn't claim you swindled or coerced me, I simply took exception with the cost. I sometimes buy popcorn at the movie theater too, doesn't mean its a fair or reasonable price. I really needed my system charged, just like sometimes I really want some popcorn at a movie sometimes, so I pay the premium just as I did for your service.
Your service was reasonably prompt and your tech was friendly and competent and arrived when he said he would (although I did have to provide a 5/16 port adapter because he didn't have one) in the contractor/service world that's 1/2 the battle anymore. But I stand by my review, your service is satisfactory albeit it comes at a premium price point.

Received a slanderous call from owner and Shawn, the owners son, because I dared question their continual lateness.
Had them do a complete install ($4500). Never returned or called to check work, just sent invoice and called to see how fast they would get paid. Workers did not seem to know what they were doing. Left my place a mess. Had to call to FINALLY get warranty info and paper work.
This company seemed to have a descent reputation when I checked them out, so I do not know what went wrong.
The owner did leave me a voice mail apologizing for his chewing out he gave me. His son Shawn did not show such courtesy after his chewing. He seems calm until you criticize his bad customer service, then WATCH OUT!! John Davis, Boyd Tx
