Great customer service. One of the best stores I have visited in a long time. Prices and the knowledge is one of the best. I droved 200 miles to get to this place and I will do it again just to give them my business. 100% satisfied customers. Thank you for making it so easy on a stressful situation.
Everyone that I interacted with over multiple trips to Open to the Public HVAC Parts parts were incredibly generous with their time and knowledge.
And the customer service was absolutely amazing. I feel like it is very safe to say that they are the Chick-fil-A of HVAC places!
While everybody was awesome, Crystal was one of the most helpful sales people I've ever worked with.
She was extremely knowledgeable. Helped me process my problem. And ultimately helped me get my air conditioner fixed.
I joked that I knew this is my AC problem and not their AC problem, but I got to be honest with you, they treated me like it was also their AC problem.
As much as I hope to never have to see them again(hahaha), I am obviously going back if I need to take care of any other air conditioner issues.
I had ordered a new HVAC Blower motor that was hard to find. Matt found the comparable motor at a fair price last weekend. I took my squirrel cage with old motor in the hopes that I could get the new motor mounted. Came to be that the motor shaft was badly jammed and even with the puller did not come out. Matt spent over 45 minutes trying to get it out using everything he knew and finally had to drill the shaft out. Got new motor installed, wired and balanced. All of which would of killed me in my hot attic. I wanted to buy him and his wife dinner but they would not take any payment for their truly hard work. You young people are good karma and a credit to your parents work ethic. I hope never to have a HVAC problem but if I do, I know the place to go. Thank you Matt for being a credit to your profession.
If you’re a DIY’er like myself this place is great! My condenser fan motor went out and I called them about a replacement.. they suggested I bring my fan still assembled to the guard. They sold me a fan, switched the motor out and attached to the guard for me. They also tested my capacitor which had an area that was bad and sold me one at a very reasonable price..went home and installed.. it’s 7/3 and 100 outside and AC is working like a champ again thanks!
AC fan stopped working last night. Thought it could be capacitor. Found OTP online with local store so stopped by. Sonia tested and confirmed bad and gave me replacement. Installed and works great. Thank you Sonia for your help. Thank you Matt for the heads up on how to use the new one.
This place is awesome!! I highly recommend to everyone and anyone. I noticed that my A/C condenser fan went out on a Saturday morning when I was out working on something else. When I was texting with Matt, I sent him some pictures, and he noticed that my capacitor was bad also. They were able to get me everything to get me back up and running. They didn’t treat me like an rudely, like I ran into at some other supply houses. I will be referring everyone I know to them!
Amazing responsiveness and help provided on chat and in-store. No one provides this level of service to DIYers. Save a couple of car payments if you have a big enough issue. Free diagnosis in store, customized cable setup and lots of advice in getting the job done, Thanks!
One of the best customer service experience that I have had from my initial phone inquiry on a replacement condensor motor fan and capacitor to making sure the new fan was prepped for easy installation. It was an easy install as a DIYer and was able to save several hundred $$. Definitely support this small business!
I had my hamster wheel break in half and my wife started doing the repairs on it she got the fan out and was told by a different retailer to replace the motor which that was not the problem. She called open to public about the hamster wheel. They said they had one. She also took the entire housing for the motor and wheel into the store where Matt bench tested the old motor said maybe 10 years maybe not at that time we decided to just upgrade the motor. Matt replaced the motor and the wheel and tuned it all to the housing and set up wires where the install was very easy. My wife got it all installed and I appreciate everything this company did to help us. Next time I’m starting here so thank you guys very much
Had an HVAC company out to diagnose condenser issue. They wanted nearly $2k to replace a handful of parts and clean. The quote seemed unreasonable so I decided to repair myself.
OTP HVAC was out of the way but had great reviews. Everything about my experience with them was top notch. From my initial phone call verifying parts availability to the staff in the store, everyone was helpful and friendly.
They tested my existing parts, confirmed one needed to be replaced but informed me the other was likely fine. (I decided to buy a replacement anyway.)
The team even prepped my new fan motor so it would be easy to replace.
The repair ended up costing $171 and an hour of my time. (Plus the commute to OTP)
