Dallas Plumbing and Air was the 3rd company we called for our AC on our old system and ACTUALLY fixed for less than any of them. It's taken me a week to "cool" down after A-1 Air and Milestone totally let us down and truly showed their colors on what a rip off this industry can be. Our first call was to A-1 Air, but the very first thing was that the customer service person mistakedly told the repairman that we were to have a "check up" for our system when we clearly told her it was broken. My husband and I were not amused that A-1 Air torched (yes, torched) the fan blade off our old system so it was not reparable. I literally told A-1 to leave our house at that moment as this was obviously going nowhere - and got nothing fixed for our fee. Then Milestone came out for more ($99) and saw the torched fan blade - also not able to get parts on a Saturday. They wanted us to spend $8000+ for a new system we didn't need. We told them we just wanted our old system fixed so they estimated $800+ - on Saturday for the parts and magically those parts jumped up to more than $1400 on Monday. After all of that, we called one more company - Dallas Plumbing Company came out and fixed it for less than $600. Here's the bottom line, the air conditioning business is a racket. And if they think you are desperate enough, you will pay anything to get it fixed. The only way we survived this ordeal is that we have a 2nd air conditioner so we lived upstairs for days till all of this ended....Remember those that advertise alot on TV are making you pay for it in the end.....we appreciate Dallas Plumbing not trying to gouge us and we will remember them the next time we need our air and perhaps our plumbing too fixed.

Working with this company has been extremely difficult. You get a window of 4 hours for a tech, he comes out, needs something, schedules another day for a different 4 hour window. Then he says he has to get an "approval" and will call back. I hear nothing for 3 days so i call in and they try to get me to pay a bill i already paid and i had to provide a check number to prove it. After that they schedule me for an AM appointment, again a 4 hour window (mind you I have had no AC for over a week now). I take off work and wait. Call in and am informed that they moved me to a PM appointment and are "sorry they cannot do anything". I ahve to work so have to reschedule again for another mid day window of 4 hours. I would look to another company that can keep time commitments and fix your equipment in a timely manner so you are not out of AC for over a week, including a holiday weekend, and you get a proper window where people actually show up. I cannot comment on the actual work yet as it is not even complete and my AC is still down.

There was some delay upfront getting the quote for my new tankless water heater installation approved due to city codes. Once that was settled, however, the rest of the process was as smooth as could be hoped. Ron and Chris and the rest of the team were very professional and courteous and advised me of their progress throughout the process. They did their best to be as quiet as possible outside of the necessary drilling. They turned the water heater on after the first day so we could still have access to hot water while they completed their work. Initially, I thought I was going to need to hire an electrician to install a new power outlet for the water heater, but Chris found a solution and was able to drill through the wall of the closet and access an outlet on the other side, which saved me time and money! When one of the crew who dug the trench for the new gas line uprooted a shrub in my backyard, Chris made a temporary mound of soil for it and watered the roots to make sure it would be survive until they could replant it. He couldn’t have known at the time, but those shrubs are my most important yard plants because they remind me of my hometown, so I am very fond of them. Finally, on the day of the city inspection, I overheard the inspector say that their work “looked really good” and gave them the green light to complete the project within a couple hours. That is the highest praise I have heard from a Richardson city inspector on a home renovation project, so I am very confident it was done well. They cleaned up the same day – for a total of 3 days for a new gas line and tankless water heater installation – all well-done and excellent service! Dallas Plumbing will be my go-to for all of my future plumbing and gas renovation projects.

I've used Dallas Plumbing three times now. Two times on my own home, once for plumbing and once for a/c. Today 3/20/16, Dallas Plumbing Co serviced my boss's a/c unit in a home that is pending sale. It was important to get it done as soon as possible to satisfy the repair requirements. As always, they were prompt and charged a reasonable fee. DPC has been in business for more than 100 years and their excellent, professional service shows why! Love Dallas Plumbing Company!

2 units installed with various problems that had to be corrected. Then to top it off they didn't submit my warranty that I was told not to do because they would take care of it. I heard so many excuses over the phone. In the end they replied he didn't get back to me because he was sick and in the hospital. So at first I felt bad but then I realized this was going on for months and a company this size has backup. They don't just leave customers hanging out on a limb. BUT, THEY DID!

The first hint not to use this company is the fact they are so reluctant to give you any sort of price range. I understand that you cannot give me an exact price, but I did describe the issue so I would think a price range is fair. I mean is it going to be a couple hundred or a couple thousand?? People do not just have a couple thousand laying around, so I would need to plan if it is going to be that high. Regardless of that, I still asked them to come by (shame on me).

They got to my house and looked at where the problem is. They told me that the issue was my sprinkler system and they gave me 2 choices of how it can be fixed. 1. They could cap off the system to stop the leak but I would not be able to use my sprinkler; or 2. They could dig up both sides of my sidewalk and replace the piping which would take much longer. I do not use my sprinkler system and I wanted this to be completed soon, so I chose option 1. They said if I wanted to replace the pipe at a later time I could. They spent a couple hours doing the work, only to tell me that that didn't fix the issue and the pipe is still leaking. They could come back tomorrow and fix the actually issue but I would still have to pay for what they did today. So basically out of the 2 choices they gave me, the second choice is what would have actually fixed the problem and the first choice did nothing. I find it ridiculous that they would tell me what the issue is, give me options and then tell me that they really just spent time fixing nothing but it will cost me $250.

A decent company would have apologized and then offered to fix the real problem not charging me for the nonsense that was done today. I will not be using this company in the future not will I be recommending it to any homeowners I know.

The companies response to my review is appreciated but misguided. There was no miscommunication. Bottom line, they gave me 2 choices on how to fix my leak; I chose the one that was supposed to be the quickest. The company did the work, charged me but the leak was not fix. I was never told they didn't know where the leak was coming from; in fact I was told they knew where the leak was coming from and then given 2 options on how to fix it. I also did not stop them from completing their work. The work I chose to be done was completed and since the issue was not fixed I did not want them to start an entirely new job for what should have been fixed in the first place. The response by the company seems to be intended to save face in front of possible customers as opposed to resolving a current, and possible future, customers issues.

Dallas Plumbing is good for basic things. Initially i called in to have a bidet seat and a shower (attached) installed. The team was courteous and scheduled me. There was no appointment confirmation but that's not a particular bother to me. The technician when he showed up was kind and he took one look and said, " I don't know what to do with that, they'll have to calls someone else to do that". That isn't the service i expected. I expected better service or for the scheduler to have a better grasp of the tasks at hand. Feel free to use them, however be very explicit with what you need.

Highly recommend Dallas Plumbing Company. They have great customer service and are very responsive. We've used them for detecting and repairing an under slab leak and were impressed with their service.

Dallas plumbing recently installed a new ClimateMaster geothermal heat pump. The entire process was outstanding. From quoting to installation to final inspection. They did an excellent job, everyone on the crew was very professional and their work was great. It really could not have gone better. I am very pleased to have found Dallas Plumbing and I will use them for all of my future plumbing and hvac needs.

This is a multigeneration family owned business and while I read the negative reviews from a few years ago, every time I have called them they have come quickly and fixed the AC or plumbing problem quickly. I began using them to fix what another ac guy did when he taped insulation around one of my pipes. Well it wasn't to the standards of the Dallas guy and he redid it free of charge.
