Alamo Austin Air

From the moment I first called Alamo Austin, I received excellent service. It was about 2 or 3 months ago during extreme heat that our air conditioning unit broke down. Fixing our 12 year old air conditioner was too costly. Being elderly, we were unable to tolerate the heat and Jason brought us 3 cooling units to us until he could install our new air conditioner and heating. He was professional and cordial as were all employees we spoke with and met. Since my husband is a veteran, we did get a discount. I highly recommend Alamo Austin.

These folks saved me $9,000. This summer, our Carrier system couldn't keep up with the heat. Indoor temperatures hovered above 80 most afternoons. I had technicians from a competitor I had used for many years come out on four separate visits. During the last visit, the senior technician recommended a new system. They prepared a quote for $12,500. I called Alamo Austin Air for a second opinion. Jason Kreig came to the house. Within 15 minutes, Jason found the problem -- a faulty evaporator coil that needed a full replacement. Within 24 hours, his team installed a new evaporator coil assembly, and our system began working perfectly. Total cost: $3,500.

Alamo Austin Air is a fantastic company with excellent office staff, Jason's accurate diagnostics, fast installation, and an experienced installation crew.

Yesterday was the second Carrier variable speed heating/cooling system I have had installed by Alamo (the first being 2017 at another house) and I had forgotten how amazing these systems are; most of the time we don't know its on unless you stop and listen for it.

Equipment aside, I cannot recommend Jason and the Alamo team enough; Jason came out to design the complex system for our house in October 2021, which took several hours, and he went over every nuance and detail that I asked about. For reasons all on my end, I had to postpone installation until June. I was annoyed with myself and my own situation, but Alamo was understanding and patient with me through it all.

I also want to acknowledge the design/engineering/installation triumphs of this team; our house has the AC in an attic area which needs to service additional living space that was added and new vaulted ceilings and multiple zones. I have been around enough to know that few installers would have gone to the efforts that Alamo Austin Air did for us yesterday. Thank you!

First time home buyer, we had Alamo out to our house many times over the course of the last year. They were always responsive, friendly, patient and helpful. From the scheduling over the phone to the actual visit, service was top notch. I joined the Silver membership plan and feel like I got more than my money’s worth. Adrian in particular came over so many times, my dogs started to get to know him. He was great. Friendly and knowledgeable, even recommending a handyman for me to use when necessary. Highly recommend Alamo and especially Adrian.

ADDITION TO REVIEW - I had Alamo Air re-do our duct work and create 2 HVAC zones (our 2 story house previously had 1 very poorly working zone). Jason did a great job of explaining everything and Chris was a true pro. It was a huge project. Jason and Chris were patient in explaining all of our options. We are so much more comfortable in our house now that we've done this project, and we are definitely saving a ton on energy. Thanks so much for your help, Alamo! The service and end result was top notch!!

A very happy broken record here! This company is THE BEST on every level and I RECOMMEND them WITHOUT RESERVATION. In fact they are still finishing up installing my new AC and I couldnt write this review fast enough. From the first call talking with Danielle, a great experience. They gave me two portable units (one up and one downstairs) to tide me over until they could install. The owner Jason is as great as all the reviews say - professional, thoughtful beyond words, took time to explain everything thoroughly, as kind and caring as they come. He also replied quickly to all my emails and was very patient with my many questions. Jason's crew, led by Chris, also fits every one of those descriptions. Super nice and just amazing work. ON TIME at 8:00 am, took shoes off whenever they came inside, laid drop cloths down on all surfaces, asked to use the restroom - where else could you ever find this kind of customer care and service? His office gave me a call the day before to review how the install day would go and it went exactly as she said it would - except they finished in half the time allotted!! All of them super to work with and I am so glad i read the reviews and called him as soon as my AC went out. I will call them for all routine maintenance and they have a customer for life. CALL THEM NOW - you will be so glad you did and then you'll be writing a review just like mine. :-).

Jason worked patiently with me as I chose a completely new HVAC system, along with whisper vent fans to replace the old bathroom ventilation. Jason offered his expertise and advice but allowed me to pick among the options without pressure. On the installation day Chris and his crew arrived timely and worked efficiently to install the new equipment. He and his crew were very professional and meticulous. I am extremely happy with the results and I recommend Alamo Austin Air completely.

These guys are the best, hands down. Jason & team are communicative, patient and committed to doing the best work. I cycled through 4 other companies in the past before finally choosing Alamo Austin Air to replace my old, nightmare HVAC system with a nice, new one. No one else I worked with was as clear at explaining things as Jason nor did they care as much to get it right. When my new system started acting funky, and my internet troubleshooting suggested that what I was experiencing was a known manufacturing defect, I called Jason anyway to see if he could help. Because of his determination to understand what was going on and why it was happening, he fixed my issue! I couldn't believe it. Save yourself the trouble and call these guys first. Seriously, they're the best.

We recently had to replace an HVAC system for the upstairs of our home. After getting several bids we went with Alamo - Jason’s expertise and insight gave us the comfort and confidence to go with them on this high dollar investment in our home. Chris and Kevin did the installation. Great communication, everything went smoothly. The system is quiet and effective. Couldn’t ask for more!

Some companies I called for price quote only took pictures of my current A/C; but, Alamo thoroughly went up in attic and outside before giving me the best price quote and they are on the list for Austin energy rebate program. Mr Matt patiently demonstrated how thermostat worked- those details are appreciated and showed me what was installed. From, Jason, Matt, Lisa and their team it has been a professional and friendly experience. They have responded quickly when I needed something even when my email was not working, because my storage was full, they called me. I trust this company’s work ethic.

Jason is the only guy that came out and didnt try to just upsell me. I had the unit inspected by another company months before and it was running fine. 60 days later it crapped out. Then had a 2nd company inspect again and said it needed to be replaced, so I started getting quotes.

I had called Jason to come put and give a quote, not even look at the unit. Instead he went above and beyond and found that the unit could be fixed with a new hard start. Jason even offered to walk me through self installation if I wanted.

Jason saved me 15k as I wasn’t ready to buy a new unit if I didn’t have to. These guys have a customer for life.

When I do need a new unit I will be using Alamo. They have a customer for life.
