HVAC unit went out Wednesday night, called All American Heating and Cooling Thursday morning and they arrived at 930am and tried everything to get my 35 y/r old unit working but all the parts were obselte- crew of 4 professionals arrived 830am Friday and explained everything that had to be done and who was doing what and when they would be done ( 2 of the professionals have over 40 year HVAC experience and it showed). These guys are world class and second to none - the only ones to call for any HVAC concerns you may have

All American Heating and Air did a great job recently when they replaced a heating and air conditioning system for the upstairs of my house. Most importantly, my interactions with All American Heating and Air indicated to me that they are trustworthy and focused on customer service not just sales. This was something that I was specifically looking for. Jeff, Bobby and Dylan were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Jeff assessed my existing system, discussed options with me and let me decide. Bobby and Dylan, the install team, were quick, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Jeff explained the performance rating of the new system and said that it qualified for a rebate from Dominion Energy. The paperwork packet included a partially completed application form for the rebate. I simply had to add my Dominion Energy account number and submit the form. I've already received the $500.00 rebate check from Dominion Energy. As a veteran, I like that the company is family and veteran owned and that the products are American made. I expect to be a long-time customer and I highly recommend All American Heating and Air.

I've used them before, years ago. I call this morning because the air coming out of the vents was not cool. They had a technician available two hours later. So thankful it was a minor issue easily rectified. My technician was Jared. He was very courteous and professional. I definitely will call again and highly recommend.

It's difficult to give a company that does several things a single rating. In this case, we use All American for servicing our equipment and the reason for this review is the purchase and installation of a new unit from them. So, the four stars covers Service, Sales, and Installation. Breaking it down further, I'd give 4 stars to Service, 5 stars to Installation, and 3 stars to Sales. Our experience with other Heating and Air Contractors has been generally poor and these ratings, while obviously not 5 stars across the board, are the better than I'd give any other company we've tried. We have had no issues and we plan to continue to call upon them for our HVAC needs. So, if you are tired of reading, you can stop right here. Otherwise, I'll dig a little deeper. On Service, the work done by the technician has not been an issue. He's been professional and on time. However, I've deducted one star for All American's scheduling process. When it's time for our periodic service, they seem more interested in what day it's convenient for them (i.e. when they'll have technicians in our immediate area) than what might be best for us. This is not to say we have been put out by their scheduling, but it's usually "well, they should be in your area in 3 weeks." It's just not as customer focused as I'd like. On Installation, the installers could not have been more polite and respectful. They worked quickly, kept things clean, and did a very thorough job of explaining every step along the way. They also went over the operation of the system and explained some of the features. It's clear that high standards are set for the installers and they adhere to those standards completely. Definitely a 5 star experience here. On Sales (of the new unit), I am deducting 1 star for price and 1 star for product knowledge. The price rating might not be fair, but I'll tell you why I'm deducting a star. First, if you don't know, there are extremely high margins on HVAC sales. Now, I don't think that All American gouging prices or is any higher than any other local seller, but they are not necessarily cheaper, either. This is a known thing and not necessarily the reason for the star deduct. When the sale was made by our service technician, we were told we were getting an "off season" discount as well as another discount. Nowhere were those discounts spelled out and no disclosure was made about them. We were also pushed to do the install right away (our old unit was failing but not yet dead) because their install work was slow due to the season. When we told the sales technician we were going out of town and asked whether they price would be good till we got back, he was reluctant to commit at first but then said, per his manager, that it was good for 30 days. Bottom line is, I don't think we overpaid, but I also won't be going around bragging about the great deal we got, either. Whether the price was "great" or not, I did not particularly like the way the process was handled. The one star deduction on Sales for the product knowledge is because the outdoor portion of the unit we bought, which is more efficient than the one it replaced, is much larger (technically too large) to go where the old one was located (not 10" of clearance on all four sides). The offered options were to move the new unit to the opposite side of the house by our bedroom or for us to sign an acknowledgement that the unit installation did not meet standard practice requirements. We had to do the latter. If the selling technician had known this ahead of us agreeing to buy the system, we might have been able to look for other options. Instead, on the day of the install, we had to decide which unpleasant option to choose...not ideal. Finally, I don't want to end this review on a negative note. All American has met our needs completely, has overall been pleasurable to work with, and I see integrity in their work habits and processes. We are satisfied with All American and will continue to use them for future maintenance and equipment.
