David and the staff at On Call have performed a great service to my family. They were able to come out same day, late on Friday and was able to diagnose why my A/C had failed. Was able to help me get the part and deal with the warranty, and all I had to do was just pay them for the service.
I was dealing with another local company that gave me the run-around, so I was happy to deal with On Call, as they were communicative throughout the entire process. There was even some hiccups getting the part out of their control, but they still installed it and fixed it the day they said they would.
I called because my gas fireplace was emitting soot and the flame was not right. A gentleman came out and he was very nice and professional. I thought he fixed the issue and did a good job. Afterwards, whenever I turned the fireplace on, I smelled gas so I called them back. The same man came and was unable to find a problem. He went to Home Depot and bought a gas detection device to confirm what I was smelling. He said he didn’t know what was leaking, but said it had something to do with the metal clips that held the glass in place. He said he would talk to someone and call the following day. That was 2 weeks ago and I’ve heard nothing. Dominion just left after locating the problem in all of 2 minutes. I have another company coming tomorrow to fix the issue.
I used this company on the 15 June 2022. They said my compressor was out and stated the repair would just cost me labor and freon. It was going to be 1500 dollars. The technician said the compressor would be charged to the company Goodman Air Condition. I waited to get a second opinion and it just ended up being the compacitor which is a 15 dollar item. If the compressor would have been changed out it would have still needed a compacitor.
Very fast service. I needed a new water heater. A technician arrived less than 2 hrs after I called. The new water heater was installed and ready to go about 3 hrs later. Cost might be a bit above average, but for that kind of service, it's worth it.
I had a broken main line coming off my water meter which was flooding my front yard and cut off supply to my house. I called On Call Plumbing and they were able to send someone out in less than 30 minutes. They were highly professional, upfront with all the costs for the repair, and completed their work very quickly including inspection for leaks once the repair was complete. I highly recommend them!
Me & my wife call on sat evening after the city say they could fix a water metric, i have accident roll over .and the person at the office was very polite yet apologetic that they could not guarantee a technician today because it would be dark .He did assure us that the tech would be here early sunday morning . SHAWN THE TECH show up here first sunday morning .Theirs are not enough adjectives for the service and courtesy extended by this young man! He did a great job on my problem at hand, shawn walk me through everything he was doing ,and also gave me other suggestions that were extremely helpful! I will not use another company for plumbing, and or related issues! All I CAN I BE CALLING YOU ALL FOR ALL MY NEEDED. Super Job done .
Came out to check clogged drain, which was great. However, he went neighbor’s yard to check their clean out, even though I told him it was a separate system. Next day, neighbor has water leaking. Called the office, sent him back, tried to say neighbor has a clogged problem, when in fact, he didn’t properly put the plug back in correct. Was very rude to my wife, tried to charge my neighbor, then left, leaving the cap off! Office staff wasn’t any better. Every body makes mistakes, but they should at least own up to it, all this could have been handled better.
I had a wonderful experience using On Call Plumbing, Heating and Air. They were very prompt, knowledgeable, and thorough. I had them come out to check my A/C unit and they were nice enough to show me how to prevent the issue from returning. I appreciate the quality of their work, but also their willingness to give advice on how to avoid issues in the future. That shows me they really are dedicated to their customers and not their bottom line. And how many companies can say that in this day and age.
I walked into On Call about mid-morning, with tubs/showers not draining. They took my info, set an appointment for that afternoon, 1-3 pm. I got a call from their office that a technician was done and could head my way. The tech’s name was Bobby. I don’t believe anyone could have been nicer and more accommodating. Bobby was professional, explained everything in detail, then completed the job. The price was great. To top it off, Bobby was headed out by the time my scheduled appointment was even set ! Great experience with OnCall, and with Bobby. Thanks so much for the great service !! tp
I called after hours support in West-Columbia, SC for AC not blowing cold at my elderly mothers's house. The tech arrived about 1:30- 2:00 AM, several hours after call. Tech came out and said no power was on unit. Powered unit up and asked about putting Freon in unit or detect leak. Though paying extremely high per hour rate for after hours, tech said it would be $150 to detect leak?? That would put the total over $450 with still no AC. Because my mom needed AC I paid and he couldn't find the leak, if there was one. Tech refused to put in freon, though no leak found but tech did drain the remainder of freon out of the system before starting leak detection. Left with no AC and out of $450. Called another company the next day. Charged the system and still working almost two months later. Check ALL other companies before doing business here. Very questionable and no fix.
