McCormicks Heating & Cooling, LLC

I have been meaning to write this review for quite some time. Back in November, my boiler stopped working. I had another company come out to look at it and they seemed perplexed as to how my system could be fixed. We live in a home built in 1920 and the system is very complex as I have been told. It provides the greatest heat, but when I have to have my boiler serviced, I run into the problem of finding someone who is knowledgeable about boilers. I dealt with Dan at McCormick's. Not only was he friendly and professional, he was able to pinpoint the parts on our boiler that were causing us problems. It was very clear in his level of knowledge and expertise in servicing boilers and their functions. It was great working with this company. We will be having them service our boiler every year for regular, annual maintenance. Highly recommend!

McCormick's Heating & Cooling is an excellent company to work with. I hired them to come to my house in Pittsburgh to replace my furnace. They actually ended up being able to repair my furnace which was so helpful, especially because most companies would have just tried to sell me a new one regardless of the condition. They were very easy to work with and their tech was super friendly and got the job done quickly with no issues. I highly recommend this company to anyone with furnace or air conditioning repair or replacement needs in the Pittsburgh area.

Tried to give me a quote for installing an emergency on off switch and gas drip pan for $443, $200 of which was a membership fee.

I talked to others in the business, neither of these installions are required because the on off switch is there already and the furnace is outside in a closet type area so the drip pan isn't needed.

They are expensive for a trivial thing

McCormick's Heating and Cooling are really great to work with! I had an emergency problem and they immediately sent a tech out to me to get a diagnosis done that day! The tech was awesome and knew what he was talking about and left the area he worked on clean! The price was great too - not to expensive - just at the right market amount, if not CHEAPER than others I was quoted!! Will definitely continue to use McCormick's again! I just signed up for their Service Savings Agreement plan!

McCormicks was fast, reliable, and detail oriented so I knew exactly what was going on. I received a phone call that the technician was on his way and also a text message. I would recommend them highly!! Being a business owner myself customer service is the key to a great business and they get an A+ for that in my book!

I've used McCormick's Heating and Cooling for a couple of years now for my annual furnace/AC checks and a few issues I've had with our older units. Their techs are always very polite and respectful. They are very thorough, and explain any issues in detail, including the cost to repair BEFORE moving forward with the work. I would highly recommend McCormick's Heating and Cooling to anyone I know!

We had a terrific experience getting a Nest Thermostat installed in a 100+ year old home with radiant heat. After a competitor told me they wouldn't recommend installing the Nest in such a house, I nearly gave up, but I decided to try asking one more place. McCormick's told me they had had success with similar installations, so I went ahead and made the appointment.

The technician was friendly, professional, and competent. He checked the setup, then told me we needed a common wire installed. I was wary of the additional expense, but a quick Google search showed that this is pretty common in homes like ours, and it does significantly improve the reliability of the Nest. Besides, it brings our house into the 21st century and makes any future thermostat upgrades simple enough that we could do it ourselves. (The lack of common wire was the main reason we couldn't install the Nest ourselves in the first place!)

After I gave the go-ahead, everything was pretty quick. He ran the wire, and installed the Nest, and got it online with our WiFi. It Just Worked, and significantly improved our quality of life. The whole process was painless and pleasant. Next time we need heating or cooling work, McCormick's will be the first place I call!

Dan Came out to look at system, very friendly and professional. The staff at McCormick's contacted me with different options for replacing my old system and educated me on why it was beneficial to me and my family. Before I knew it they came and installed. The team Jon brought with him was friendly, respectful and hardworking. It's easy to see why McCormick's is "The Best in the Burgh"
