McHales came into my life on January 16, 2023, and turned it upside down. The salesman was a con artist and lied about his personal life to get my wife and I to trust him and lied about the quality of the product being sold. He did not do the proper load calculations on my house and ductwork and ripped me off for $12,367, and sold me a defective heat pump.

During installation, they cut my outside sensor thermostat wire and could not even put the air filter in correctly. Pics are attached.

The defective heat pump blasted my home with 45-degree air-conditioned air during defrost, and none of their technicians could figure out the issue. During their six visits over a three week period, they struggled to even replicate my issue, let alone resolve it. However, they did do things such as disable my emergency heat, set my defrost cycle to occur more often, hence making the issue occur more often, and also replaced the defrost control board on the outside unit because they had no idea what they were doing and just started replacing parts to look like they were doing something. One time, the dispatcher suggested that I attempt to resolve my issue on my own. After their sixth visit, it became clear that they were not competent enough to figure out the issue, and I had to have a real technician from another company figure out the problem.

Their services manager is rude and did nothing but gaslight me and insult me during this entire ordeal. He kept telling me that there was nothing wrong with the unit and made rude comments about how I was complaining about the issue too much and was extremely passive-aggressive at every turn. He refused to replace the defective unit, and not once did he ever produce a plan for a resolution, as his main goal was clearly to get me out of his hair as soon as possible.

My wife and I spent the entire winter of 2023 in the cold with constant fluctuating indoor temperatures, while McHales continuously told us that there was nothing wrong with the heat pump.

Stay far away from this untrustworthy, incompetent, con-man-filled company!

Mr. Drew came within the very same half hour that we called for an electrical issue. He was very professional and took the time to explain every question and was able to fix the issue immediately. We really appreciate him coming out on such short notice!

My water heater regulator was dumping water, and started to smell burning. I called the company that installed it less than 2 years ago and was told they could have someone out within 24 hours! I called Mchales as they did a bathroom remodel for me last year and spoke with Carly. She was caring and understanding and told me not to worry that she would get someone outbas soon as she had someone free. Shortly thereafter she called me back and let me know Marc was on his way. He was professional, efficient and explained Everything to me (my water service regulator malfunctioned) we were getting too much water pressure in the house. Thanks for the quick response!

Great service. Courteous. Knowledgeable. Prompt.
Mike was our plumber just by the rotation of when I called. But he would be a big factor in our next call. Pleasant guy with many years of experience.

Estimate for tv/sound at mounting with hidden cords.

Did sign up for service contract at 50% off regular cost of $22 monthly, so yes, I got a bargain for $11 a month!!!

Though I cannot afford the tv mounting at this time, he explained it will be held for 6 mos. He also explained that McHales would be reaching out to me to set appointments for plumbing and HVAC reviews which are included in the service contract.

I do recommend McHales for all your plumbing, electrical, and hvac needs.

Another positive experience with McHale technicians! I was pleased with the service the first time they were here so I signed up for the annual contract. Today I received 2 of my 4 free annual visits, a plumbing and heating check. Both technicians were professional and thorough and they answered all of my questions. Thanks!

We had 2 bathrooms remodeled and they look amazing. Any questions we had were answered quickly and professionally. We highly recommend using McHales Kitchen & Bath if you are looking to have a bathroom remodeled.

Technician was out very quickly on a Saturday after I called. Fixed problem and gave a straight forward no nonsense estimate of work that needs to be done. He took his time to explain everything and answe all questions. Very professional, polite. Was a good experience.
