My husband and I can home from work on Thursday (10/5) and the carpet in our basement was soaked. We saw there was a leak from our hot water heater. We called JC Heating and Cooling company and within 30 minutes Carl came over to check it out. He advised me we needed a new one because there was no way to repair it plus it was 19 years old. He provided me all the details for a new one and advised he could have it installed by tomorrow (Friday 10/6). Within 24 hours Carl and Jim were able to take out the old hot water heater and installed a new one. Excellent service and highly recommended. Thank you for all your efforts!

Let's start off with the front office. I called them yesterday morning for an issue we had with our ac unit..they were more than accommodating...sent someone out within a few hours of my call.. Ben our tech arrived...with the office giving me a call telling me he was on his way...loved that perk!! When Ben arrived he assessed our issues...tried to get us up and running...but was very honest after he tried to fix the issue...he was very professional and clear in explaining why the ac was not worth fixing...called someone right away and we had a salesman over shortly after..Rich was very professional and his knowledge of ac was amazing...we were able to get things started and this Monday we will have a new unit on Monday...words cannot Express my gratitude on their prompt service from my initial call...to our tech Ben...and lastly Rich our salesman...Thank you all !! Would highly recommend...

This company is great! The people, the service, the pricing. I can't rave enough. How did I come to know this?

While contracted with my previous big name oil company, I paid some high prices for oil on a ceiling rate plan. It seemed like a good idea at the time to prevent my price from escalating during the season. The problem was, the price never fell much below the ceiling rate as it was supposed to do, when the market price drops. The variable rate plan would also have given me some high prices too. A fixed rate plan was not offered. Even worse, they insisted on renewing my contract in the height of the winter...when high oil prices are to their advantage, not mine! Oh, and did I tell you?They tried to fix my 3 day lack of hot water by suggesting that I 1) look for a squirrel up the chimney that was causing an obstruction 2) buy an induced draft fan to solve my "summer versus winter seasonal draft problems" and 3) Buy a new heat exchanger! They showed up unscheduled carrying a heat exchanger to announce they were installing it that day! I told them, "No We're Not! I have no problem with heat transfer. Let's go measure the draft!. (Showering at the athletic club was becoming old.) Finally, I asked if they could check to see if the boiler needed to be cleaned out....even though the tag was laying there saying it had been done 3 months ago. They opened it up and voila! Lots of ash and soot. No chance of an up-sell here. I may be a woman, but I'm a Chemical Engineer.

Heating for the honest pricing, the great staff inside and outside the office, nice owner....who answered my questions when the staff was out servicing customers...can't compliment all of you more. My new hot water tank and thermal wall kit was installed by professional people with years of experience.

Where do I start? From the inception until the finish this was more than a 5 star job. Everyone went above and beyond to get this job done. We had an older furnace in the crawlspace with maybe a good 4 feet in places and below that in others. Our old oil tank was down there and deteriorating badly. I won't go into detail but suffice to say, Joe and his crew did this job including the new furnace, new tank on the outside of the house and new chimney liner in three days. We discovered a major problem with the electrical service to the house which Joe pin pointed to a Peco problem. We had an electrician come out who confirmed Joe's suspicion. Long story short, Peco fixed the problem and now everything is working perfectly. Great job and great clean up!! Thank you guys. Joe, sorry about you battery charger :)

Straight shooting, no nonsense professionals that I highly recommend. they've been in business around the corner from me for a long time for a reason... I needed some boiler service. JC was out the same day and got me back on track for a fair, reasonable price. I can't say enough about Matt, The tech. He was, prompt, knowledgeable and simply got the job done. To top it off, He even came back a second time at midnight to resolve an issue. You just don't get this type of service anymore. Once again, I highly recommend jc heating and cooling

3 months since I've hired this company to do work for us, I can honestly say it's been a huge disappointment. We've paid $15,000.00 to have a conversion from oil to electric heat and since day 1 there has been problems that JC hasn't been willing to fix. The men who did the job accidentally sent a surge of power and told us we had to go around and check all of our TVs and electronics to make sure nothing was fried. They clogged our toilet and left the house unannounced at the end of the day leaving us to fix their mess, they left gaps in between the airshaft and didn't mount it to anything so it was just hanging there open, they closed up my dryer vent completely without making a new one and I was unable to wash or dry clothes for a week (which they said was not their problem). They overloaded our system with freon and didn't check it before they left so we were without ac in the 100 degree heat, and finally, 3 months later, our heater completely stops working. Thankfully I had a friend look at it who said the entire panel was rusted and all of the wires were fried. I called 3 times, they send someone out, he looked at it for 5 minutes, called his boss and tried to blame the entire thing on us because we changed one outlet in our bedroom across the house. Then he said the boss would be there Monday but he would charge us because it was "our fault". So Monday comes, no one shows up. I call and the secretary, who is extremely rude, says she has no record of anyone coming out (we still had no hot water for 4 days now) and she says she will call me back. Its 4 hours later at 6 PM and she says there's nothing she can do and to go hire an electrician! Finally, my boyfriend convinces her to send someone to give us hot water. FInally my boyfriend was able to have a professional come out. And he said that the problem was completely their fault and we, or my electrician, had nothing to do with it and that the way the heater was was extremely dangerous to use. They also told us 3 days before that it was safe to use burned up like that. Which we did not. Also, after purchasing this $15,000.00 job, it took me about 2 months and 10 phones calls and multiple emails to get an itemized invoice for the job. This place is a joke, this has been the biggest hassle and I rather have went just about anywhere else to get this service.

My old, unused in-ground oil tank needed removal. JC H&C responded promptly, providing an accurate estimate of the project cost and scope. On the day of the job the crew was professional, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. A report on the process - what they did, what was found (oil leaking) and how the hazard was remediated -was received by mail in 3 days. That gets filed away for when the house goes on the market for sale. Very satisfied with their performance.
