Nerthling’s Heating & Air Conditioning

We called this company to look into forced air distribution in the house. First guy (Rob) comes for diagnostic and charges for his visit. He looks into furnace dampers and suggested removal of one damper and requested another visit for that purpose. However, after he leaves, one damper he opened up starts making metallic noise, which was not there before. We called them to come back, but no one shows up until next scheduled visit. Another guy (Kyle) comes up for scheduled service and removes the damper as was planned. It took him less than 10 minutes and did not require any new instrument. I wonder why first guy did not remove that? Just to charge additional for another visit. Anyways, when we asked about the noise problem after first guy left, he directly told us, that damper motor needs replacement without even looking at that and was asking for another visit and charges. I called their office and requested call back from their manager, but no one calls back. Finally, I tried to open that damper myself and I noted it was getting stuck, which I fixed, and it is working fine. If I am supposed to fix the problem they created, why do we even need to hire them?

The lady who answered the phone is scheduled my appointment was pleasant and professional.

The technician Rob called prior to his appointment, showed up within the window they scheduled on the same day I called, and he was able to diagnose and fix my problem within about 15 minutes. The furnace wouldn't kick on because of bird got stuck in the exhaust and blocked it all up. He gave me some recommendations on how to prevent this from happening again.

I would absolutely use again and recommend to others.
