We have had a maintenance contract with O’Brien for years, but every summer the air conditioning breaks and every summer they claim some other reason they can’t fix it. This year, a man came by and said he had to cut down the fence around the unit to access it, made us buy new refrigerant and then informed us that WASNT the problem and suggested we buy an entirely new motor/fan. Apparently unable to diagnose a problem without just taking shots in the dark (at our expense,) he then left, no problems solved, with the fence in pieces laying around the lawn. Exiting this contract and very dissatisfied with their work.
Our heat went out on New Years and O’Briens was the only company to promptly call us back and schedule us in immediately. Our tech, Jim, was extremely professional and courteous and thoroughly explained everything to us!
Carson came out when our air conditioner stopped working. He quickly diagnosed the problem and went a step further by calling Lennox to verify that he had the right fix. Very professional and knowledgable.
Will try to gouge your wallet . BEWARE! Was told I needed a 12k boiler replacement. Another Hvac company came out and for 800$ fixed the problem as they always did. I asked these folks at O’Brien to get me up an running and I was not interested in spending a bunch of $. They charged me 100$ to come and do exactly what I told them I didn’t want. Tried to sell me an overpriced boiler for 12k , when I got an estimate for 9,200$ from a local competitor a while back. 3200.0$ more ? Really? Stay away !
