Real classy salesmen this company has, with an amazing future in car sales.

This is not your neighborhood, caring oil service company. They’ll make sure they delay your last delivery until juust after the “contract date” to charge you 75%+ of your normal rate. They’ll still market your cap rate as a full years price cap (“read the contract”). You’ll also have to manage your auto-delivery service as there were a few times we almost ran dry this year. Not sure how they keep their customers?

Service plan was akin to a worthless limited warranty— called for assistance once and was told they were booking weeks out.

One additional star for Joanne.

Otherwise, no complaints?

Seriously though, there are better options out there.

Galbraith oil has always been 100 % upfront. You need to ask about their payment options and terms before your first fill. I lock in at a cheaper rate at the beginning of the season. I have never been with out oil. If I could only afford so many gallons on a particular month they worked with me. I would highly recommend W.T. Galbraith Oil.

I used this company for heating oil delivery and i never would again. Everything they said was purposefully misleading and even when i spoke with the owner himself everything he “said” changed week to week and conversation to conversation to suit himself. He’s a gaslighting extraordinaire. Here’s what happened. I signed up for a seasonal contract from October to April for what i thought was 1.69 a gallon. No. That’s not actually true, it’s just 1.69 for the first fill up which they do immediately in October knowing full and we’ll you haven’t used the oil all summer so the tank is practically full and the “fill up” ends up being nothing. THEN they “mailed” me a contract which i never received stating the contract term price is 2.19 for the season or 1000 gallons. Fine. That’s not unreasonable for gas. But here’s the hook....they will keep filling up your tank until April no matter what. So i reach out and say i don’t need anymore oil. I have a 500 gallon tank and I’ve already used 1000 gallons so just stop with the fill ups after all it’s already March.

O, so now all of a sudden they can’t do that because the initial fill up doesn’t count towards the contract amount (even though when i spoke to Bill Galbraith a week before it did) and the “free” service contract they offered me isn’t actually free unless i let them shove gas down my throat until April. So now they want $250 for the service contract when they guy came and cleaned the furnace for 15 minutes once. I had to spend multiple days and about 30 minutes each time arguing with Bill Galbraith on the phone about his deceptive business practices and he was rude, loud, and arrogant. I’m shocked he’s still in business.

STAY AWAY from Galbraith oil. They do this because they know no one has the time or inclination to sue them over what ends up amounting to a couple hundred bucks. There are better oil companies with better ethics and better customer service. Don’t use Galbraith. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I don't know what happened this month, but I came home last night only to find out that we ran out of oil!! On the coldest night because they couldn't deliver due tocovid. I understand that people are getting sick, but at least have the decency to let your clients know that you won't be able to deliver, we could have at least called another company temporarily without having to sleep all night in the cold and no hot water!!!

I've been dealing with Galbraith for almost 10 years now. They deliver our oil. They keep both our oil furnace and oil based water heater running. I've also had them replace our hot water tank and out to repair our heater when it went down. I've never had an issue with them. Whenever I have a question someone calls me back right away. Their prices are fair. Their technicians are friendly and happy to address any concerns. I will continue to use and recommend them.

They deliver our oil and charge a reasonable price - not the lowest, but not the highest. They also service our HVAC and hot water heater. Our oil fired hot water heater recently failed after 14 years, on a Saturday (of course), but they came to the house within a couple of hours to diagnose the problem and had a brand new unit installed by Monday. All the techs they've sent to our home have been first rate.

I've used Galbraith since I move in in 2007. I've had a happy experience with them and now that I'm out of state and leasing the house to a tenant, they've been really helpful working with me remotely. My understanding of the service contract was that it covered the annual maintenance at a discount. I did not expect it to "cover everything" like a home warranty or insurance. Great guys--on time, professional and friendly.

The only reason I am giving them two stars is their service techs are awesome. Other than that STAY AWAY! My wife and I recently bought our first "oil heat" house. I called around and found Galbraith to have reasonable prices. The sales rep who came out was nice and went over a ton with me. When talking about the service contract I commented, " knowing that it covers everything should something go wrong", and he nodded and agreed with me. Fast forward 2 years and the control box that turns the furnace on and off breaks. They fixed it (took 48 hours but I'm not upset) and a week later I got the bill. They have me a $50 discount on a $620 bill because "anything that touches water isn't covered." I have a radiator heating system and the furnace also heats our hot water. This was NEVER discussed by anyone to me. I guess since I didn't know what to ask they just assumed I knew everything. I called to inquire and they basically told me to pound sand. I will be hiring a new heating company come fall. Don't make the same mistake. Their service contract is worthless!!! Several hundred dollars paid for a $50 discount. By the way, the heater is less than 10 years old so it wasn't an age thing.

DO NOT USE! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEPLORABLE! Our neighbors utilized this oil company and the service was horrific! Three times the oil truck showed up and three times it left because the truck driver REFUSED to walk up the driveway despite it being shoveled and salted. Our neighbors were not home for the week. The house currently does not have oil and is below 40 degrees. The truck driver was extremely rude. This company is not reliable what-so ever. On a side note, the emergency repair man, Dominic who showed up between the 1st and 2nd attempted delivery to deliver emergency oil (10 gal) was extremely helpful, professional, and actually did his job. Despite the positive interaction with Dominic, this company overall can not be trusted to deliver your oil on time, which is especially critical in cold winters.

Galbraith People. It is the coldest day of the year and you have failed to deliver hearing oil to my 91 year old father despite day- long promises of a delivery! its10:30 pm and we now find that there will be no delivery tonight! this is unconscionable.
