I found out this service online. Seeing all the great reviews, I decided to try it. On July 22, 2019, I requested a service to fix one of my two AC units that stopped working. It turned out to be a shorted capacitor and it cost $212.50 for them to fix it. That day they managed to sell me one year maintenance plan (from July 22, 2019 to July 22, 2020) that covers both of my HVAC units (one of them was one year old, the other about nine year old at that time) for $684. They made a trip on September 23 2019 to check up my furnaces, and then another trip on April 7 2020 to check up my AC units, all under the pretense of maintenance plan. Yesterday I send them email wanting to terminate the maintenance contract, and they replied wanting to send me a bill for the April 7 trip. I've seen this kind of bait before. It's a way to bully customer into keep paying for their yearly maintenance contract. In short, these guys are swindlers who bait customer into expensive maintenance plan and try to intimidate customer into keep paying them year after year. It'd be smart to stay away from these people at all cost!
update: Just seen the owner's reply. His tune is so much nicer than his emails to me, it feels unreal. Somehow he counted his initial service call (paid separately) as a routine maintenance trip for annual maintenance contract. So buyer be ware of his interesting math. For the April maintenance call, his people called me to schedule the trip and I specifically asked for confirmation that this trip is part of the annual maintenance contract, the answer I got was a solid yes so I accepted the appointment. After his guy came to do the maintenance, we signed the receipt that charged $0 because it's a routine maintenance service call. Only after I emailed him to terminate early the already fully paid annual contract, he began to threaten me with an invoice of the April trip. Was he scheduled the April trip fully knowing that it's under the current annual maintenance plan, or he tried to fool me and tricked me into something that he plan to charge later? He has to be one of the two options. If it's the former one, he has no right to bill me for the trip. It's paid for. If it's the later, then he has committed a fraud and illegal trans-passing of private property. I fully believe that the April maintenance trip is a legit one under the fully paid annual maintenance contract. However, if he insists to turn the visit into an illegal one, I wonder what he is up to. One possibility is to "encourage" me to sign another year of annual maintenance contract with him. I wonder how many times he has tried that trick to his customers before.

I think Borden Heating and Cooling is the greatest! I bought an old house, with an ancient system, and when it began to fail, I was referred to Matt. Got an efficient, reliable heater and AC, well priced, installed by knowledgeable and profession techs. I highly recommend them!

Great unit. Each year, I get the unit serviced by Matt.
Juan usually comes, always on time, clean & courteous.

Borden Heating and Cooling did a great job. Came out promptly even though I was not a customer already. Evaluated everything and was able to do the job the next day. Time was of the essence because it was 100 degrees outside and we needed someone that knew what they were doing, not a 20-year-old trainee.
I would highly recommend this HVAC company; I have a lot of experience with HVAC companies, and Borden Heating and Cooling came through at a very busy time for them and did not overcharge, and everything was done properly and on time. They even checked in to make sure everything was working properly. That was the first time any HVAC company checked back.

Can not thank matt enough . He was recommended to me by a friend for a new heating system, called him and he was over to my house the same day. Told me what I needed for a new unit gave me quote on product and labor.
