Hunter was very knowledgeable and professional. They found out we needed a new panel board for our heat pump and were up and running with the new part they had to order in 6 days. I called ahead to ask about getting my A/C system checked and they told me it was a $93 service
fee to come out and see what was the matter and provide a quote for repairs. The tech showed up on time and was polite. He said the system had a leak and he was going to look for it and recharge it. After 1.5 hours he said he couldn’t find the leak and billed us $185 for checking for the leak and another $103 for charging the system. He didn’t consult us on the cost of the “leak check” which I assumed was part of the “service call”. We were caught off guard by the additional cost and didn’t see the bill until after he did the work. $300 to show up for an hour and a half is a $200 hourly shop rate which seems high. Also, he didn’t find the leak. I spoke the tech about my concerns regarding the bill and outstanding leak and he seemed uninterested. $381 for 1.5 hours, 1 lb of 410 and I still have a leak- per the tech.

Update: My review was read and I spoke with Kirby regarding my service. Without getting into detail, he made things right and acknowledged errors. I appreciated his professionalism and customer care. I wouldn’t have come back but his actions convinced me otherwise. They have my business moving forward.

I noticed that our electronic air filter wasn’t coming on so I called Best and requested a technician. Not only did they send two techs out the next day, the two found the issue and corrected it quickly. I am very happy with best and happy one of the two technicians was Justin.
