I love Ecoheat! So competent, responsive and reasonably priced. They replaced both my furnace and my central air conditioner. There were issues because I have an old PDX house and cooling the upstairs is an issue. They have diligently worked with me to get it resolved. Thomas is so knowledgeable and the installation team is great. I unequivocally recommend Ecoheat!!

Ecoheat installed an AC unit at my home. The owner came out to do the bid and took the time to answer all of my questions, including options for where we could place the outside portion of the unit. The day of install, the two guys that performed the work were on time, professional and courteous, and also took the time to answer questions and help us decide final placement of the unit. I trust them, would recommend them, and would use them again for future HVAC needs.

His quote was less than a local competitor and his work crew that came to do the work were conscientious, neat and tidy, and worked efficiently, completing the job in one day. EcoHeat has come to our rescue twice in the last few years, and I could not have been more pleased with the whole process both times. They installed new central air conditioning for us in 2015 and were professional, prompt, and affordable. We've greatly enjoyed having AC during the ever-hotter summers and we were impressed by how smoothly the installation went. This week, our ancient 35 year old furnace finally gave up the ghost during a snowy cold snap. (Brrr.) A last-minute winter heating issue is always stressful, but Thomas and his amazing crew had us up and running with a new furnace within 24 hours (after diligently trying to bring the old one back to life, just in case.) From start to finish we received quick and thorough communication, friendly interactions with technicians and admin staff, and we knew what to expect at every step. I love doing business with local companies who are invested in the community, and EcoHeat has consistently shown themselves to be a hardworking, conscientious team who care about their customers. They certainly made a surprise expense and disruption in my life much easier, and I would call on them again in a heartbeat.

About a month ago, EcoHeat installed a 3 ton Trane central A/C unit into our 1915 two story home. My wife has been singing happy tunes every day since! To be frank, I feel badly that I deferred this capital improvement for so many years. We have been in our home for about thirty years. Last year was particularly tough for us between the consecutive days of excessive heat and smoke from the Columbia Gorge fire, so I was determined not to repeat this misery. To hear a happy song this time of year is a wonderful development.

EcoHeat was an easy choice for us because they performed exceptionally when they originally installed the very efficient gas furnace to bring us up to current technology. This small service oriented company has grown significantly since our furnace install, which is a credit to Thomas, who captains the crew and fields the requests for bids.

Our A/C install was completed in a single day as expected. Thomas has chosen to grow his business by word of mouth, which translates to taking the time to communicate, coordinate, and execute on a timely basis. These basic building blocks of customer service might not sound so impressive, yet if they are not the top priority of your chosen contractor then you will absolutely take note and may end up with something less than expected, or way off schedule.

Our experience with EcoHeat met our high expectations - they were on schedule, each person (3) knew what task he was responsible to complete, they kept their work areas confined and cleaned-up. After the job was complete, the lead person made sure that we, the home owner, knew how to operate the digital thermostat and the maintenance steps we could take to insure many happy cool summers.

In researching A/C options on-line, I realized that the installation approach is likely to be more important than the specific equipment. EcoHeat is a Trane recognized dealer. However, they have access to a wide array of vendors and use specific vendors that are the best fit for the specific circumstances. Given that we had an high efficiency Trane furnace, the Trane central A/C system was designed add-on.

I was concerned about the noise level as the unit sits outside my study. To my delight, it's softer than I imagined and the unit does not run for long periods of time. Speaking of noise – as it turned out for us, this was a big “net” win for us – as it's so much more quieter inside our whole house now because we no longer operate the many noisy fans throughout the house moving the hot air around.

So my take away is that Portland weather is changing and A/C helps in a really big way to keep everyone happy and well rested. I'd recommend having EcoHeat on your short list. I think Thomas and his crew will do right by you based on our positive experiences.

Jesse and his crew provided top-notch service and they were highly professional. They did beautiful work, and they did it efficiently. Everyone was courteous and abided by the new Covid norms at all times. Thomas came up with some creative solutions that respected the exterior of my 1914 home. I was desperate to find a reliable, economical contractor for my elderly mom's Trane furnace. She was without heat for almost a week as another contractor waited for a part to arrive and scheduled the repair service.
