Beware bait and switch. Paid for mid class air conditioner and they could not get, was substituted with lower end unit they acted Ike did me a favor, same price as mid class unit when unit substituted was a lower price. Install mistakes had to return to fix.

Columbia had relocated the AC unit at our house in the spring and the unit was not cooling by September. They scheduled a visit and corrected the issue in one visit at no charge as part of the relocation warranty.

I received a grant through the portland housing authority to pay for a HVAC system while I was going through cancer treatment. After 18 months I called the company and they said I had no warranty on the System so I paid $2000 plus labor to get a new condenser. Just a few weeks ago my coil burned out from a manufacturer defect so I called Columbia again. I was told they were unsure if the unit was under warranty but couldn’t help me without at least having their technician come out. Prior to this I hired a different company to come out and look at the unit and they informed me that in fact it had a 10 year warranty on the condenser and the coil. Basically I paid for a $2000 for a part that was covered by my warranty. So now I call the company over and over and they either won’t take my call or are extremely rude to me taking no responsibility for the error. In Fact they said they would not even order the new coil from the manufacturer for me unless they were being paid to Install the coil. Why would I ever pay these people another dime after they completely screwed me over. So far we will have spent around $5000 dollars on repairs for a unit that was under warranty by the time we are done and it’s only 6 years old. I just can’t believe how rude these women are at this company. I would never treat someone else the way they have treated me. I’m absolutely appalled and I will tell everyone I talk to that they are a complete scam of a company. Please don’t do business with them! Miller Heating and air has been totally professional and kind to us, Thank Goodness we have found a reputable company that cares about people. From now on we will be using them for all of our HVAC needs.

Columbia Heating and Cooling installed an air conditioner at my house last summer and WOW, they did a fantastic job. Everything from the estimate to the installation was a smooth and easy process. I got estimates from other companies before going with Columbia, and am so glad I chose them. Adam was patient and very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Choose Columbia Heating and Cooling and you will not be disappointed! Bravo guys!

We have spent almost $15000 and our AC and Heating system is only about 15 months old. It blows fuses, the ducting has very low pressure, and we have had 6+ service calls into Columbia Heating and Cooling. I have called them more than 12 times to give them a chance to fix our new system and they will not. They have also canceled our warranty and do not take our calls. On a 90 degree day it is 80 degrees in our house. We have a 2600SQFT single level home and then system does not keep up with outside temperature. Do your research and make sure you do not make a bad decision on the HVAC company you want to work on your home. We are out $15000 and have an HVAC system that does not work.

We had a great experience with Columbia Heating & Cooling! Jim worked late on Friday night to make sure our furnace and fireplace were working again. He was professional and personable and made our first experience with Columbia a great one. We will definitely be using them again for our future heating and cooling needs!

Columbia Heating installed a new 95% efficient furnace in our home. They were responsive when contacted, didn't push to upsell and were patient with our questions, got the job done on schedule and did a great job. We're pleased with our furnace. I especially appreciated the paperwork they processed to register the furnace for the warranty and to help us with the energy tax credits.

Columbia Heating and Cooling has provided routine maintenance foe my furnace and AC for several years and recently replaced my furnace. They have always provided outstanding service, are prompt, efficient and charge reasonable rates.

This was one of the most shady HVAC companies I have dealt with. Initially, they tried to make it sound like it was gonna be a cheap replace my unit. When they came out, they started adding all these ridiculous services to the total price of the A/C replacement that just made the transition outrageous. Even at the end, I was still interested in getting their business but the guy made a promise of sending me a quote. He never got back to me. They only care if you have money now and not down the line. I got news for your company, that's not how you retain future customers.

Once again, Columbia Heating & Cooling saved the day for us. We have been customers of Columbia H&C for over 15 years. And, as a real estate agent for those 15 years, I have referred at least 20 of my clients to Columbia, with 100% total satisfaction on those referrals.
Yesterday, in 90 degree temperatures, our air conditioner went "south." We called Columbia (it was about 6:30 PM in the evening, on a Friday, not a good time). The call service took our name and phone # and, within about 1 hour, we got a call from a technician. He said he would call early the next morning, and, lo and behold, he called at 8 AM the next morning (Saturday!!) to say that he would be at our home at 8:30 AM. He was there at that time!!
He took care of the air conditioner after making several tests. He could have tried to sell us a new AC (which is 15 years old, by the way). Instead, he fixed the problem, and we are happy and comfortable again.(By the way, the tech's name is Ben.)
Columbia is in the business of doing the job right and working for future business, not one-time shots. This company seems to be very interested in satisfying customers so that they will keep coming back.
As a realtor, I will continue to refer Columbia Heating and Cooling forever.
By the way, thank you Columbia, for doing such a great job and being very timely.
