I had a problem getting into the space for the filter to change it. Service person Readjusted door to filter to make it easier for me to open the filter "door" to change it.

Tried to get a quote for the installation of an AC unit for a personal residence. I let them know then that I work a lot of hours a week and do not have much availability. The home is already wired, just needs the unit dropped in and connected. My son had to take a couple hours out of his day to be available for the tech to do the inspection. Inspection done, tech called about the quote. I asked him to email it to me as I don't have the time to sit down and go through it--I just need the unit dropped in and connected anyhow. He told me he would do so.

Right after we hung up, a woman from his office called me and told me they don't email quotes. I then asked if they didn't want my business, to which she responded that isn't how they do business.

If they didn't want it they should have been upfront about it and not wasted my time or my son's time.

***The owner's response in inaccurate as well. I asked them to email it to me. Their response was, "That isn't how we do business." I confirmed and asked if that meant they do not want my business, and they confirmed.

This is my first time using Control Tecg NW as my regular guy was on vacation. The service technician was prompt and efficient and very polite. The cost was definitely higher than other companies I have used. They do offer a discount for regular customers. There is additional work needed on my system for which estimates should have been provided, and have not been a week later. However I got a past due notice for my invoice 3 hours after it was originally sent. So the business side is a little inconsistent.
My system is working now and we were comfortable during the heat wave.

The tech was on time, polite, patient knowledgeable and completed the job in a timely fashion.

It is rare to find a good old-fashioned business these days, which puts the client first and has terrific customer service. If that is what you are looking for, then check Control Techs NW out. A company sent by American Home Shield had made such a mess of repairing my furnace it was dangerous, so I set out to find a company of my choosing. I felt I was in good hands as soon as Cate answered the phone at Control Techs NW; after hearing my concerns, she sent Danny out the next day, we had been without heat for five months, so I was excited. Danny ordered the parts, and within two weeks, the furnace was no longer making noise and was putting out heat. Danny and his assistant Michael were professional, respectful of my home, efficient, neat, cleaned up their mess, and took any garbage away. If I could give them more than five stars, I would.

Control Techs replaced our old furnace with high efficiency unit and a heat pump to go with it. They also installed a new gas line for our gas range as well as a new hot water heater. They were very professional, seeing to every detail and informing us along the way as to what unit was being installed, how it worked, and what to expect in the way of its performance. Once completed, they instructed us in how to use the product and how to adjust it. We couldn’t be happier.
